Just wow. THE best personalized experience we have had. Highly recommend - If I could give this a 10 star, I would. Ignacio had a very comfortable Mercedes that ONLY had us 4, though the max size of the group was 8. I have had past experiences in which the tour was cancelled if it did not need the minimum number of people, but in this case he did the tour anyway. The places he took us the restaurants he chose, and the very personalized experience we got cannot be duplicated.Ignacio took care of explaining everything that we were seeing and gave us a very detailed understanding of the wine, making process and the history of Spain. At the winery that he took us the winery owner gave us a full tour, including a tour of the cellars that were hundreds of years old. Ignacio has a very good relationship with the owner who only spoke Spanish so Ignacio translated everything that the owner was saying for our ease of understanding. Not only did we get some of the best wines that we tasted, but the owner also opened a very old vintage so we could taste the true spirit of the land. The wine was so good that we ended up buying a case to be shipped back to us in the United States. The other part of the experience was going to a castle more than 1000 years old and the windmills that’s around it since it was just the four of us. It was such a personal experience With detail history and very patient answering of our questions. I would highly highly recommend this tour cause the perfect ending was him opening a bottle of wine for us at the top of the hills under the windmills for a wonderful experience.Ignacio also took several pictures on his phone that he is going to send us and also took any pictures on our phones that we asked him to. Very personable and nice guide with a deep understanding of the history and culture of Spain.

Wine, Clay Pots and More! - Ignacio was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable, accommodating and fun! He took us to the most interesting family owned winery. They ferment the red wine in giant clay pots. Everything about this winery was charming and it was obvious that wine making was a labor of love for this 5th generation wine making family. After that we were supposed to go to a plaza and it was closed, so he took us to a restaurant that had caves and more clay pots that had been autographed by thousands of famous people. Then off to see the windmills and a castle/fort. We ended the tour with another glass of wine. Ignacio is an incredible host! Book with Ignacio. You’ll be glad you did!

A perfect day in the country side away from Madrid. - One of the best excursions we’ve done with Viator to date. Each part was excellent from the winery which included a visit to the caves used to store the wine, to the Cervantes Museum, to the famous Windmills. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided information in a entertaining and fun way.

Amazing tour of Consuegra with Ignacio! - We absolutely loved our day trip with Ignacio! We had a lovely family wine-tour, a visit through the Don Quixote book museum in Consuegra before seeing two windmill sites, as well as a gorgeous castle. Ignacio relayed the history and culture of the area, and picked out a great lunch spot that rivaled some of Madrid’s top restaurants! Ignacio went above and beyond with a quick detour into Toledo which was gorgeous after sunset, before completing the tour. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent Tour outside of Madrid with Ignacio! - The tour was just my partner and I, so we had a very nice private-tour experience! Ignacio drove us to a family vineyard, to see two windmill sites, and a gorgeous castle in Consuegra. Ignacio picked a FANTASTIC local restaurant for the three of us to eat at, hands down the best meal we had while on vacation! Then, as we had time, Ignacio took us through Toledo to see an overview of the city. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough! We had a great time, and Ignacio had lots of local knowledge and history to impart about La Mancha. Absolutely worth the day trip.
