Food tour in Madurai - Praveena guided us on an authentic food tour in Madurai, and it was truly an incredible experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish telling its own unique story. Praveena did a wonderful job explaining the history and significance behind every item we tasted. She was also extremely accommodating, especially with our two young children. Our family, which included a wide range of ages — from our little ones to our in-laws in their seventies — thoroughly enjoyed the tour. In addition to the food experience, Praveena also gave us excellent advice on where to shop for beautiful South Indian crafts and local goods, which made our visit even more special. It was a memorable and enriching experience for all of us.

An exceptional tour! A... - An exceptional tour! A fantastic way to see the city and really get a feel for its food and culture. Everything we ate and drank was amazing - brilliant choices with lots of variety. Jafreen was a great guide - knowledgeable, friendly and lively company.

Great food tour! - We had great day touring local food stops. I was very appreciative the guide let me guide the experience vs forcing us to do everything on her list
I also appreciated that she provided a list of other places and things to eat for the rest of the trip. Highly recommend to anyone interested in discovering the food of Madurai.

A wonderful culinary experience - A wonderful culinary experience, with a knowledgable and friendly guide. We enjoyed a variety of Madurai specialities, from restaurants to street food vendors. All delicious and interesting. Highly recommended.

What a great experience! - A wonderful first experience with South Indian cuisine! All of the foods and drinks were delicious - our favorites were the chicken 65, masala milk, and many of the sauces for dipping. Jafreen was an excellent guide, so nice and personable. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, especially those that aren’t as adventurous in venturing out on their own.

Maybe the best food tour I've ever been on! - We had an awesome tour with Soundarya on our Foodies Day Out! We ate so many yummy things, all special dishes for Madurai. It was awesome to have the car to get us to a huge variety of places, and at every stop Soundarya told us about the dish and we got to eat like locals do. Many places were making the dishes while we waited for our food, so we got to see how they were prepared. Soundarya told us a bit about the places we went past, so it was also a bit of a city tour. It was so special to have a tour just for myself and my husband. Soundarya was a fantastic guide. I have already recommended this tour to friends. It's a must-do in Madurai!

Great Experience - it was a great fun experience! picked up right on time by Muku, with 2 other guests enjoyed delicious local food at multiple locations.

A must foodie night out in Madurai - An exhilarating magical mystery tour around Madurai’s secret food destinations curated by Madurai born Muku. Come along hungry for a night of culinary delights with fine and relaxed conversation with Muku.
Fabulous food in a fun and relaxed setting, driven by Muku so you get to see night time Madurai too. Best thing we did in Madurai. Not to be missed. We really enjoyed our night - thank you Muku.

A wonderful food tour - A absolutely wonderful tour with the most amazing guide, Jafreen! She took us all over Madurai and we tasted a plethora of foods. We learned so much about southern India food and culture. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jafreen and spending time with her! Don’t hesitate- book this tour!!

Eat like the locals - “Eating like a local” is what every true traveller wants. Researching street food is what many famous European chefs have done recently and are showing it in their TV programmes. All the privileges that they have you can have, including videos and photographs.
In Madurai we were taken through town by two charming ladies sampling dishes and drinks you would not have a chance to taste in the hotels.
Surprising methods of preparation, explanation about ingredients, an insight into what how and when the locals eat. We cannot recommend the tour enough. A chat about the city and daily life was an extra bonus.
Thanks a lot for your enthusiasm and dedication.
