Our driver will meet you just outside Costa Maya Port’s main access—look for Gabriel or Ruth holding a banner with your name. Pick-up is 1 hour after your ship docks (earliest 9:00 AM Ship Time). Please arrive at the taxi meeting point 10 minutes early.

A great excursion - The view was great, easy to get to, and the staff were fantastic. The food was very good as well. Getting a taxi at the end of our day took 5 min, so we made it back to the ship in plenty of time. When we come back to this port, we would do this again.

Book it! - Excellent little get away. Had our own private driver throughout the entire day. Our beach was cleaned of debris. Our food was good and authentic. We even paid extra for beach massages. Everyone spoke good English. The only slight downfall is having to walk outside thr port area and try to find the right person who is your guide for the day. They brought us as many drinks and plates of food directly to the beach as we could consume.

Do it again! - Awesome beach escape. Mario at the restaurant was very welcoming and had great English. They had a set of beach chairs saved and marked with my name on them. Food and drinks were amazing and plentiful. Not sure who our waiter was but we never had an empty glass. Seriously, really really really good drinks and food. Only complaint was the transportation part. Not knowing how the port worked, I prepaid an extra $40 per ticket ($80 total) for transportation. Little did I know taxis are more than plentiful We got to the beach ok, but somehow on the way back we got called a cab that was outside the process so we had to pay that cab and it was only $10. So I prepaid $80 for something that was only $20 and still had to pay the back end. Would absolutely do this again, just wouldn't prepay for transportation.

A Unbelievable Beach Break! - The food was excellent and so were the drinks! They had a well stocked bar of different drinks including water and soda. The nachos were delicious and the fish tacos were out of this world! The people were very friendly and kept coming over to make sure we didn't need anything. Although we had to walk out of the port and we really didn't know where to go, we just kept asking the taxi drivers in the area and they pointed us in the right direction. We felt very safe and had a great time! If we are ever in Costa Maya again we will certainly return to this hidden gem!

Could have been nicer. - Beach area was not very big, had plenty of of sea weed floating and on the shoreline before walking into the water. No snorkel at this beach. The food was good, service from the staff was great. I would not return in the future. Try a different place.

Average - Getting through the port is exhausting and confusing. Especially if your boat is late. We had to walk forever and never had any clear guidance as to our transportation. Six people in a car really made for four. Extremely uncomfortable Drinks are way watered down. Don’t fill them with ice for a half hour before using the cups. The food was very good and service exceptional. We had our own reserved space which was great. Vendors were ever Persia but not pushy.

Unfortunately disappointed by the service - I went solo and it was very obvious that you will be treated very differently from anyone that is in a larger group. I was asked by staff not once but twice to move chaise loungers to accommodate a larger group that arrived after I had already settled in. When time to get a drink I was passed by multiple times by waiters who were more than attentive to the larger groups and ended up having to go fetch my drink at the actual bar rather than be waited on . The “beach” was a roped off area that you had to walk across lots of rocks in order to enjoy the water. Overall not what I had hoped for, rather disappointing compared to my other NCL excursions I booked while on my 7 day Caribbean cruise.

This was a bust - We had to walk 48 minutes in a walker to "find" the person that was supposed to be waifor us. Just to be squeezed into a smart car size taxi, to get to a beach that was uninhabitable. No snorkeling, n kayaking. Our host was very nice the palapa with chairs were waiting. SO NOT WORTH THE EXPENSE
