Ice cold Tecates for the win! - It got off to a rocky start, as our driver was not there, and we had to ask security, who was extremely helpful, to call and find out what was happening. We were driven to the location by another taxi driver and the rest of the day was perfect. Mario and all of the staff were exceptional. The food and drinks were unlimited and we had our own area. The ice cold Tecate and Mexican coca-cola hit the spot! There are a lot of people trying to sell things the entire time you’re there, which may take away from the relaxation, but we enjoyed our escape.

Good time with friends! - We had a great time enjoying all the inclusive menu and drinks! The kids had a great time in the water and on the swings. The wives got to shop and get massages on the beach!

Nice quiet time away from crowds. - This was a great low key experience. Enjoyed the fact that transportation was included. Drinks were strong and food was good.

Definite Must Excursion with beach/swimming/food/drinks ALL INCLUSIVE!! - I was so nervous booking bc wasn’t through the cruise line but we are SO glad we did!!! Everything was perfect! We had so much fun! Location, swimming, drinks, food, umbrellas, shade, ride to and from, etc and made friends from our cruise ship and a different one! I would HIGHLY recommend this excursion and group to anyone!! Adults and adults with teens+ this was excellent! Great directions and communication and super easy! The hardest part was getting through the port to the exit but that would be for ANY excursion! Thank you and can’t wait to do again!

The staff was very... - The staff was very friendly and attentive the entire time. The food was delicious and the drinks were plentiful. We were on a private beach, but there were some negatives. The first problem was the amount of locals that came up to us literally every half hour maybe even more frequently trying to sell stuff. The water was completely filled with seaweed and not very clear. The staff worked very hard to clean it up and did a decent job, but by then we were kinda turned off. Lastly, be prepared to walk very long to meet your transportation, but that’s not necessarily their fault. The port is very big and there’s no other way to get to them without walking. You might want to set up your own transportation rather than buying theirs that might save you from walking, but I’m not sure.

Ok but check on transportation! - The beach was ok, food and drinks good but transportation was supposed to be included however the cab driver going back insisted we pay $5 each. J have not heard from the tour operator so Viator owes us $20.

Great port and great time! - Mario and his team were very nice and attentive. Beach massage was great and there was a wide variety of food and drinks for everyone.it rained a bit but it didn’t keep us from having a great time! The water was very tranquil so kids enjoyed kayaking. People did approach you on the beach to buy things but they were not aggressive.

Great food and drinks and great service! - The pictures are not exactly what you get. Small beach but very nice covered beach chairs. The water looked dirty, not much of a view. Great food and drinks! Great service! The worst part was trying to find your transportation! You pass by 100 or more taxis and/or shuttles to find your taxi. We had to walk neatly a mile to find them. But everyone you asked knew who Gabriel and Ruth were. They said “you keep walking for several more blocks”. If you do this beach day
.take taxi when you come off the port. It cost about $5 per person.

Not a paradise but friendly staff - I so wish I could give this resort more stars because the staff were very friendly and helpful. But honestly, Costa Maya is not a paradise. This resort did its best to provide a good experience to those who visited. The food was ok, the beach was not the most beautiful, the water was shallow, and the massages were average. Also, there were constant venders asking us to buy things. However, this also put things into perspective. We take for granted what we have in the U.S. I am grateful to the staff for doing their very best with what they have. This is not a town like Cozumel. Don’t expect a paradise. But expect to feel safe and cared for at this resort.

Off to a bad start. - This excursion started off on the wrong foot. First there was NO Taxi waiting for us at the port. We had to walk a way's and found another tour kiosk that was very helpful. They called Caribbean Shore Excursions to find out where our taxi was. After waiting most part of an hour, and numerous calls, a taxi finally arrived. We were a party of two couples, and my husband has a scooter. The taxi we got was too small and a van had to be requested. The driver of the taxi was not friendly at all, in fact kind of rude when he realized we had a scooter. The food and drinks from the restaurant on the beach were good and reasonably priced. No problem with them they were very friendly. Our next issue was when the taxi we got to go back to our ship tried to charge us. When we told him it was included in our excursion price, he did not believe us and had to ask other taxi drivers what he should do. All in all, a nice day but very disappointing to start with.
