Did this tour while on a... - Did this tour while on a cruise ship stop, would highly recommend this tour. Our group was small (7) and we were taken to the Mayan ruins in a small van with a very knowledgeable guide who shared a ton of history with us. This was a much more pleasant way to experience the temples on our cruise ship stop vs the tours that bring a giant bus load to the temples. The stop for pineapple was a great bonus and the fruit was amazing —better than any pineapple I have ever had, even better than fresh in Hawaii.

Ruins - Our guide was very personable and friendly. He had tons of information about the area (that made the long car ride seem short)and very knowledgeable about the ruins we went to. On the way back to the port we stopped on the side of the road and they got us fresh pineapple. Bring bug spray with you!

Good value. Great guides. - Loved this tour group. Much smaller than the big bus tours from the cruise ship excursions. Had a great visit to the temple site. Really great guides, Octavio and Daniel. Would recommend.

Trip to the Chacchoben Mayan Temples - We took a semi-private tour to Chacchoben to see some Mayan Temples. Our guides taught us about the history of the Mayan civilization and the temples and explained how some of the temples have yet to be excavated. We were lucky enough to see some spider monkeys jumping through the trees! On the way back to the port, our guides stopped at a street vendor and bought fresh pineapple slices for everyone.

Amazing day! - We had a great time with Our guide Octavio and driver Jimel. The entire time we felt well cared for and safe. We were treated warmly upon arrival and had a nice place to sit after the short walk from the port. Please note: the port makes it purposefully difficult to exit!
Our driver and guide were very caring and looked out for us with our two daughters, 9 and 4, and my wife who is pregnant. He had ice cold water to provide to us the entire time. The van was cool and we were all by ourselves so we had it to ourselves. The seats even recline.
The pacing is good and very informative along the way, and was very much felt individually catered to our family. We saw bats and a spider monkey!
The drive is 50ish minutes but your guide will tell you information that helps understand the ruins once you get there. On our visit, in October, there were no bugs, but it was very warm and humid although the shade was nice and at times there was a nice breeze.
The stop on the way back you get a treat of the best pineapple you have ever tasted in your life.
Booking was easy and they had our name on a display board at their tiki hut by the pyramid.
Overall tour was about 3.5 hours. Would highly recommend!

Great tour for a quick port stop - Rafael was a fantastic tour guide! He was very friendly, spoke excellent English and was extremely knowledgeable. We informed him our all aboard time was at 12:30pm and the driver Victor understood the rush. Got to the port 30 mins earlier! We really enjoyed our time and learned a lot. Highly recommend them both!

Amazement at the ruins. Great sights to see. - I enjoy the sight seeing and learning about the Mayan people. Honey bees added bonus burrowed in a tree. Great pictures were taken and it beat staying in port with 3 other cruise ships. The port I did not like (stinky and crowded) but this tour gave me something to enjoy while my friends stayed back in port and were disappointed. Tour Guide polite and friendly. Full van of about 12 or so. Not a "thrill" tour as in swimming a gorge or zip lining but very good non the less. Tour for everyone not just for the actively fit (unless you climb the steep steps at the ruins then maybe you need to be someone fit or just take it slow if you have knee problems as I do and I just took it slow).
