We had a fantastic time!... - We had a fantastic time! Great little spot, great drinks and great food!! Would definitely go back. We had heard there may be a lot of seaweed on the beach but it ended up being just fine. Very clean as well. Great time, highly recommend. We were there with 2 adults and 2 seventeen year olds, everyone enjoyed.

Great food, drinks and massage. Relaxing. - It was a good spot to hang out and have amazing food, drinks and shade. The beaches is nice but rate the food, and drinks as their best asset here. I would also highly recommend a massage. Best massage ever by Yolanda. Gracias. Great service and spot to chill out. Thank you. Gracias.

Everything you need - It was a wonderful experince. Everything we needed was there, beach, beach chairs, food, drinks and amazing staff. Everything was included even the taxi ride from the port. I would do it again, no doubt.

Lazy Beach Day - There’s not so much to do in Costa Maya so we opted for a lazy beach day!! The staff is awesome and check on you often to make sure you don’t need anything. And when I say often I mean often (but it’s not annoying). Now what was annoying was the 8,000 merchants/vendors that come up to you while you’re trying to relax, eat, or sleep in the lounge chairs on the beach. Most of them respond to a “no, gracias!” But it was the mere amount that kept coming up to you-like within 2.5 hours it was well over 20 people that came and offered to sell something. Other than that we had a great time.

Cruising to Costa Maya? Take your port day here! - My family got a day pass during a port day at the cruise. Nacional is absolutely the best way to spend the day in Mahahual. Luis was attentive and provided phenomenal service. Both breakfast and lunch on the beach were amazing, and the swim area was calm. It is a public beach, so there are vendors around, but they are all nice and will be at every beach in Mahahual, nothing Nacional can do to change that. I will look to come back here every time we have a port day in Costa Maya.

Not worth the money - Be advised that the company selling scuba diving services on these grounds make promises that they will not keep. They promise photos of the experience and do not come through with that promise, yet they still hound you for tips and promise that the pics will come soon via Whatsapp. Many people, like myself, do not have Whatsapp but they don't tell you that is what they are using until after the fact and it is hard to download the app and verify it with no phone signal out there meaning that you can't even get the app while you are out there to confirm they are going to send the pics. I downloaded whatsapp once I got on our ship but never got the text or link for the photos. They are scamming and lying to get as much money as they can. The beach itself is mostly sand bar that is a foot deep when it is high tide and has no depth when the tide lowers. Only about 1/3 of the beach front is about waist deep and it is a very small beach front compared to all of the many beachfront resorts and clubs I have been to. The food is not very good either.

Vacation- ??? - 1. The Nacional Beach Club could not find a reservation for my family even though I had my Viator booking tickets. They said it must have all got lost in the mix… which led to- 2. No loungers, etc. being available for me and my family. The blonde lady helping us was extremely patient and helpful. She helped us out by having someone more a table in, some chairs, and installed an umbrella. I tried to explain that it would be ok- we would relax and just enjoy what we had. The blonde lady helping us was really nice and did her best- It wasn’t her fault our reservations were missing. When I made the comment that it was just discouraging and disappointing to have tickets and proof of payment, but then be told they didn’t have any reservations for us. Then the lady who checked us in at the counter had an attitude. 3. The SOLICITING was HORRIBLE!! We could not relax for the amount of times someone came up trying to sell us something. Overall- the blonde lady tried helping the best she could, but the entire situation was disappointing.
