From the beach, you’ll set off on a glass-bottom boat tour to the renowned Blue Bay Marine Park. This marine park is considered the premier snorkeling spot in Mauritius. With snorkeling equipment provided, you can explore the vibrant tropical fish, such as trumpet fish, various coral structures, and other marine life that inhabit the park.
• Gris Gris Beach - Unlike most of Mauritius, which is encircled by coral reefs creating the island’s famous tranquil lagoon, the southern part of the island features a break in the reef. At Gris Gris, you can marvel at the dramatic scenery of large, powerful waves crashing against the magnificent cliffs. Just a few meters away, you’ll find La Roche qui Pleure, a natural rock formation that looks like a person crying when struck by waves.
• La Vanille Nature Park - Wander through La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes, spanning 3.5 hectares of lush greenery. Discover its stunning palm and banana trees, giant bamboos, and impressive wildlife, including 2,000 Nile Crocodiles and 1,000 giant tortoises. You’ll also visit their insectarium, which features one of the world’s finest private collections with 23,000 species.
• Rhumerie de Saint Aubin - The St. Aubin Rhumerie combines artisanal and traditional distillation methods to produce its award-winning rum. You’ll have the chance to tour the factory, learn about the rum-making process, and taste the exquisite rum varieties they offer. Additionally, you can explore the charming colonial house and the vanilla and anthurium flower plantations.
