MAI CHAU - PU LUONG (L, D) Village Life | Water Wheels | Rafting

Mai Chau Ecolodge - Please note, guests are picked up at Mai Chau, but the return transfer will only drop off at Hanoi Old Quarter, not Mai Chau.

At 11:00 AM: Meet at Mai Chau Ecolodge to begin the Mai Chau Pu Luong 2 Days Tour (40 km drive). Enjoy the scenic views along the way.

(If not staying at Mai Chau Ecolodge, please arrange your own transportation there.)

Pu Luong Nature Reserve - 12:00 PM: Arrive at Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Check-in to your reserved room (standard check-in time is 2:00 PM) and relax at your leisure.
1:30 PM: Transfer to Ban Cong and start a 2.5 km walk. Cross a suspension bridge to reach one of Pu Luong’s most picturesque villages, where the largest stream flows. Along the river, admire breathtaking landscapes, rice fields, and village life. Look for the giant water wheels, a remarkable creation by Vietnam’s mountainous ethnic minorities. Difficulty level 2/5.
Arrive at Chieu Lau dam and enjoy a bamboo rafting experience. Paddle the raft upstream with locals and have fun.
3:00 PM: The raft lands on the opposite side of the river. Embark on another 2 km trek through rice fields and villages, completing a loop trail. Meet the transfer at the main road and return to the hotel for relaxation by 5:00 PM.
Enjoy a delightful dinner at 7:00 PM, followed by free time to unwind. This concludes your first day in Pu Luong.

PU LUONG – HANOI (B - L) Iconic Rice Terrace | Local Brocade

Pu Luong Nature Reserve - 7:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast and prepare for the day’s activities.
8:45 AM: Take a leisurely stroll down the valley to Don village, known as the heart of Pu Luong. As you continue your walk, you’ll encounter Uoi hamlet. Viewed from above, this hamlet nestles humbly at the base of the towering mountain.
Descend the hill to Lan Village, often referred to as the “Kingdom of Thai People in Pu Luong,” home to around 100 Thai families. You can choose a leisurely bicycle ride (optional) or take a relaxed stroll around. You’ll have the opportunity to observe their everyday activities, marked by simplicity and humility, with a special focus on their traditional brocade sewing. Take this time to engage with the locals and learn about their craft. After that, transfer back to check out your room by 11:30 and have lunch.
1:00 PM: Prepare for the bus journey back to Hanoi.

Old Quarter - After a 4-hour drive, we will arrive in Hanoi and drop off guests at hotels/stays in the Hanoi Old Quarter Area only, between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. Tour ends.
