Wine tasting and history tour - Jacob did a great job as tour director. This is not just a wine tasting tour, but a history tour as well, and he blended both activities together perfectly. He is entertaining and knowledgeable about the area. He genuinely loves what he does and it shows. I highly recommend this tour, you won't regret it!

Wonderful Small-Group Experience with Wine, History & Great Company - I had a fantastic experience, especially if you enjoy the quality and personal touch of a small guided tour. Jerome was not only very knowledgeable but also a pleasure to talk to, making the day even more enjoyable. The monastery was absolutely beautiful, and the wine tasting was excellent. Lunch was a highlight too — the charcuterie board with meats and cheeses was simply amazing. Highly recommend this tour if you are visiting the area!

100% - Really just perfect. Lots of interesting information, interesting and good wine choices and recommendations. Relaxed mood and beautiful views while driving with background knowledge to all sights. I also found the stops all very suitable and each one completely different from the previous one. Can I really recommend - even if we were in an English group as Germans: 100%

Excellent wine tasting tour - I would definitely recommend this tour! All 3 wineries visited were different from one another and did not scrimp on tasting. Our driver was very knowledgeable about the area and so friendly as well. The tasting at the monastery was particularly interesting as you toured the monastery grounds as well. The scenery was beautiful too.

Learned a lot! - A great way to see some of the wine-growing region and visit very different wineries. We learned a lot about the history and geography of wine-making in Germany and tasted some fabulous rieslings.

Excellent way of exploring German wines - Had an excellent tour! We did the tasting in Rheingau, the pick-up point at the train station in Mainz was easy to find, and our tour guide, Jerome, did an excellent job. Our tour included three stops, and we learned a lot about the history of wine making in Germany, and also about the local regions as well. After the tour, Jerome was also very helpful in suggesting restaurants and other recommendations in the Mainz area. We highly recommend Bottlestops if you are in the Mainz or Frankfurt area and want to explore German wines!

Wonderful Tour and Experience!! - Our Bottlestops tour through the Rhine River Valley was an unforgettable experience and truly the highlight of our trip to Germany. We visited several wineries, each unique and memorable, and even with one family member who has mobility challenges, the tour was accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Our guide, Jerome, was exceptional. He brought the region’s history to life and deepened our appreciation for Riesling with his expert knowledge and storytelling. At each stop, he made sure we were engaged, comfortable, and having a great time. The final stop, where we had the chance to taste ice wine, was the perfect ending to an already incredible day. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and it’s clear that Jerome takes pride in creating a meaningful experience for his guests. We’re so thankful for Jerome’s time and care—this tour was the perfect blend of education, scenery, and world-class wine.

Knowledgeable guide, comfortable tour, well organized - I highly recommend Jerome and Bottlestops! I’ve visited wine countries around the globe and Jerome’s tour was one of the best. The trip was well organized and Jerome was great with communication and flexibility. His van was new and very comfortable. He was quite knowledgeable of the wine and the region. The tour was at a good pace and we covered a lot of ground without feeling rushed.
