- Ston - Next, we’ll visit the charming town of Ston, known for its historic city walls and the oldest salt factory in Europe. The walls of Ston are the longest fortress system in Europe, stretching for over 5,5 kilometers (remaining of the original 7 kilometers), and they were built in the 14th century to protect the town from invaders. We’ll take a break here to explore the walls and learn about the history and culture of this fascinating town.
