Insights into Melaka's multicultural heritage through food - A fantastic way to discover Melaka! For me, the food tours are one of the best experiences to get to know the culture of a place and this tour was exactly what I expected. Our guide John is a true local expert who knows all the family-run stalls that have been around for generations. He also explained the roots of Peranakan culture and history of Melaka. A must for anyone who wants to know the "why" behind the food.

Great walking Food Tour with John - We had a fantastic food walking tour and would highly recommend it. Our guide John was extremely knowledgeable and clearly very experienced, especially when it comes to the authentic and diverse cuisine of Malaysia and Melaka in particular. He introduced us to many local dishes and explained their cultural background in a way that made the experience much more meaningful. In addition to the food, he shared many fascinating insights about the local culture, traditions, and history of the area. The route itself was beautiful, especially the walk along the river, which made the tour even more enjoyable. It felt like a perfect combination of great food, cultural learning, and sightseeing. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and definitely deserves a 5-star rating.

A lovely evening Melaka food tour - My wife and I had a very enjoyable evening Melaka food tour with our guide John. He was friendly and knowledgeable. 2 of the food stops were places we would have walked straight past as tourists. He was also very careful when ordering after we had informed him of a food allergy. Many thanks John

So much more than just a fantastic variety of food - What a fantastic night. The guide Jacqueline was so friendly and informative... Not only going to great local restaurants and sampling unique food, but getting the history and the background of the city and the Malaysian culture. Top tips... Don't eat beforehand, and double check you idea of spicy food... Jacqueline was able to order mine with reduced spice.. Still explodes with flavour and left my lips and mouth tingling with the heat of the spice.

The Many Cultures of Malaka - We do a lot of Airbnb Experiences when we travel and this was one of our favorites. John was knowledgeable, the food was plentiful, and the walk through the routes of history, insightful. We would definitely do this again — 100%.

Variety mixed with history - A variety of delicious food of varying styles. Visited places in the city we would not think to go. John is a wealth of knowledge on the history of Melaka, the architecture and the food. Highly recommended.

Worth doing while you're here - There was a great variety of tasty foods but the explanations were were quite limited . I typically had to ask each question three times before getting a clear answer. While he was intelligible for the most part, he spoke English with Chinese pronunciation which was a bit taxing after a while. Despite the issues, it's still worth doing.
