- Jalan Parangtritis - We will traverse one of the many narrow bridges designated for pedestrians and motorbikes. Crossing this bridge offers an exhilarating experience and provides stunning views of the city’s layout. Timing our crossing perfectly is essential as stopping on the bridge is not possible.
- Jalan Ijen - Ijen Boulevard is one of Malang’s most remarkable streets, featuring a wide lane with flower beds in the center and lush green palms lining the sides. Constructed in the 1930s, the boulevard and its surrounding neighborhoods were designed by the renowned Dutch architect Karsten, based on income rather than origin.
- Hamid Rusdi Statue - Hamid Rusdi, an Indonesian hero from Malang, is commemorated here. He bravely fought against Dutch forces for Indonesia’s independence and died in his hometown.
- Gereja Katedral Paroki Santa Perawan Maria dari Gunung Karmel - This Roman Catholic cathedral serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Malang. Built in 1934 in the neo-gothic style, it was designed by architect L. Estourgie.

- Jodipan Colorful Village - Known as Kampung Warna Warni, this is perhaps Malang’s most famous kampong. We will slow down to appreciate the art and enjoy a walk on the glass bridge.
- Arema Blue Village - Next, we explore the vibrant blue kampong known as Arema, named after Malang’s football club. This friendly kampong is filled with art.
- Alun Alun Tugu - The tour concludes at Malang’s second city square, which is actually circular. Here, the Tugu statue, a symbol of independence opened in 1953 by Indonesia’s first president, stands in a pond adorned with pink water lilies. The tour ends at a local street restaurant offering delicious Gado-Gado and Soto Ayam, complemented by freshly made fruit juice.

The Malang Kampong sightseeing running tour is led by a local guide, offering a dynamic, active, and cultural experience. Participants will journey through the city with their guide, view monuments, engage with locals, visit typical establishments, capture photographs, and learn about the local lifestyle and culture.
This tour provides a unique perspective of Malang through the eyes of a local while maintaining fitness. Participants will run a 7.5 km trail at a conversational pace, with stops for sightseeing along the way.
