Exceptional Pelješac and Ston Private Wine Tour Experience - Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars) Tour Company: Dubrovnik Wine Tours Tour: Pelješac and Ston Private Wine Tour with Tastings from Dubrovnik Duration: Half day Guide: Miho A Perfect Blend of History, Wine, and Fresh Seafood Once again, Miho delivered an absolutely outstanding tour experience that perfectly showcased the best of Croatia's Pelješac Peninsula. This half-day adventure combined historical exploration, world-class wine tasting, and an unforgettable culinary experience that ranks among our top travel memories. The Oyster Farm Experience - Pure Magic The absolute highlight of this tour was our visit to the oyster farm in Ston, where we met Mario, the local oyster farmer. This wasn't just a tasting - it was a complete immersion into the traditional way of life. Mario welcomed us aboard his small boat and took us directly into Ston Bay, where he demonstrated the fascinating process of oyster cultivation. Watching Mario pull fresh oysters straight from the pristine waters was captivating, but the experience became truly magical when he shucked and prepared them right there on the boat. Paired with his own homemade wine, these incredibly fresh oysters from Ston Bay created a dining experience that money simply can't buy in restaurants. Milos Winery - World-Class Excellence Our visit to Milos Winery exceeded every expectation we have as wine connoisseurs. The historic cellar provided the perfect ambiance for what turned out to be a first-class facility showcasing world-class quality winemaking. Every aspect of the experience - from the wines themselves to the presentation and facility - met the high standards we've come to expect from premium wine destinations around the world. Historical and Cultural Insights Miho's expertise extended far beyond wine, as he guided us through the ancient stone walls of Ston and introduced us to a local salt farm. Learning that this salt production dates back to medieval times added incredible depth to our understanding of the region's rich history and enduring traditions. Final Recommendation This tour represents everything that makes Croatian tourism exceptional - authentic experiences, knowledgeable local guidance, and access to traditions that have been preserved for generations. The combination of fresh oysters straight from the bay, world-class wines, and fascinating historical context creates an experience that's both educational and deeply satisfying. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Dubrovnik area. Ask specifically for Miho as your guide - his knowledge and passion for the region make all the difference.

An absolutely brilliant experience - My partner and I had an absolutely amazing time on this tour. The scenery was absolutely amazing. Each stop was brilliant - the fresh oysters were incredible and each of the winerys were both breathtaking with top quality wine. Our guide was Miho, who was very knowledgeable about the area and lovely to talk to - my partner and I became engaged on this trip and he helped pull out all the stops to make it a perfect occasion.

We laughed and we learned! - What a wonderful tour! Our guide, Miho, had us laughing from the minute he picked us up at our hotel! He is a wealth of knowledge and so interesting to listen to. We really felt like we learned so much about Croatia and its people, food, and wine. The views and sights on this tour are beautiful, even on an overcast day. We loved the selection of stops as well — such a great variety! Each place was so memorable in its own way. This tour was the last day of our trip and really capped it off perfectly. Thank you so much to Miho for a fantastic, fun day!

10/10 Highly Recommended - We initially booked the Peljesac and Ston Private Wine Tour with Tastings from Dubrovnik and had Miho (Budman) as our tour guide, he was so great that we ended up booking the Bosnia Food and Wine Tour for the next day! Miho is one of the most impressive guides I've ever met, he is very friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and professional. He gave us lots of historical and cultural information and was more than happy to answer questions and gave us great recommendations. We had fantastic two days! Highly recommended!

Highlight of our Honeymoon! - My wife and I came to Croatia for out honeymoon, and this Wine Tour was one of the best things we did the entire trip. Our guide, Miho, gave us such an amazing experience and was one of the friendliest people we've met. During our trip he took us to some amazing photo spots and gave such a great history of all the towns and landmarks we saw. Towards the end of the tour, he took us on a detour that had gorgeous views of the sea and islands. The wineries we visited were extremely inviting, and felt less like a tour and more like we were invited into their homes for dinner. Everyone on the tour was extremely personable and made the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for something to do while visiting the Dubrovnik area, this is a must!

Fantastic day of wine (and oysters) - We had a wonderful day. Miho was an excellent driver and guide, and it was a lovely experience visiting 3 small family owned wineries. In each location it was just the two of us with the winemakers, a much more intimate experience than we’re used to from wine tastings in the US. Like sitting at someone’s table and having a conversation over a glass (or two) of wine. Each spot also had tasty food/snacks. We learned lots about the history of the region. Finally- it’s not explicitly part of this particular tour (I think there are similar tours that include this), but ask to make time to enjoy some oysters and mussels in Ston. Quite certainly the freshest and most delicious you’ll ever have. 5-plus stars!
