Known as the Jesus Blessing Monument, it is a prominent landmark in Manado City, the capital of North Sulawesi province. Situated in the Citraland Residential Area, Winangun Satu, Malalayang, Manado, this statue is a religious masterpiece by the owner and founder of the Ciputra Group, Ir. Ciputra or Tjie Tjin Hoan. Since its inauguration in 2007, the monument has attracted not only Christians but also tourists visiting Manado. Many are drawn by its beauty and the panoramic view from the hilltop. The monument offers stunning vistas of Manado City, Manado Tua Island, Bunaken, and Mount Klabat. It was constructed not only to enhance the housing complex infrastructure by Ciputra but also to serve as a place for reflection on human resilience in the face of adversity.

Next, the tour proceeds to the World War II Monument. Located in the GMIM Sentrum Church yard complex, Pasar 45 Manado, this monument retains its Dutch architectural style. Built in 1946 by Dutch architect Ir. Van de Bosch, it commemorates the Allied war against Japan and honors those who perished in World War II. The monument is adjacent to the Sentrum Church, also known as De Groote Kerk ‘Big Church’, a name given by the Dutch Indies to the GMIM Sentrum Church, one of Indonesia’s oldest churches, established in the 17th century. This church marks the historical spread of Protestant Christianity by Dutch missionaries in North Sulawesi.

The third stop is Ban Hin Kiong Temple, the oldest temple in Manado, established in 1819. In 1839, an ash house (Kong Tek Su) was added. Initially, the temple was a simple bamboo structure. The name Ban Hin Kiong combines three words: ban (萬) meaning 10,000 or many, hin (興) meaning abundance, and kiong (宮) meaning palace. Since 1935, the temple has been managed by the Sam Khauw Hwee association, founded by Yo Sio Sien and Que Boen Tjen. On March 14, 1970, the temple was burned down, but reconstruction began under the leadership of Nyong Loho (Soei Swie Goan), who served as both head of construction and head of the temple. The temple has since undergone several renovations, including adding three floors and expanding the courtyard.
