- Qala’ T Bu Mahir - The earliest depiction of Qal’at Bu Mahir appears on a Portuguese map from 1635. Originally a robust, four-towered fort with massive defensive walls, Qal’at Bu Mahir dominated the Bu Mahir Seashore and played a crucial role in the pearling economy. It protected the nearby Muharraq settlement and the basin between Muharraq and Bahrain’s main island, safeguarding the pearling fleet from pirates and other Arabian Gulf threats at the start and end of each diving season. Additionally, Qal’at Bu Mahir safeguarded Muharraq town’s primary water source, a freshwater supply located in the sea.
- Seyadi House - The Siyadi complex, established by one of Bahrain’s prominent pearl merchant families (Tujjar Al Lulu), comprises three interconnected buildings: Siyadi House, a family residence built by Abdullah bin Isa Siyadi; Siyadi Majlis, a second family residence with an impressive guest room built by Ahmad bin Jassim Siyadi; and Siyadi Mosque, donated to the community by Isa and Jassim bin Ahmad Siyadi.
The Siyadi family settled in Muharraq in the early 19th century. As grand pearl merchants, they owned their own pearling fleet and were assured of their annual pearl catch. The wealth generated from pearls enabled the family to construct the Siyadi complex.
