- Qal’at al-Bahrain - Bahrain Fort: Believed to have been the center of power for the ancient Dilmun civilization, Qal’at Al Bahrain (Bahrain Fort) holds UNESCO World Heritage status. The fort is strategically located for military purposes, allowing for the monitoring of navigation movements. Excavations have uncovered ancient soldiers’ barracks, horse stables, an ammunition depot, a secret passageway, ceramic utensils, and both Islamic and Chinese currency coins.
- Royal Camel Farm - Royal Camel Farm: This privately owned Camel Farm is a must-visit for those whose only experience with camels has been at a zoo or on television. Camels are large, robust desert animals capable of traveling long distances across hot, arid deserts with minimal food or water. They easily traverse soft sand where trucks might get stuck and can carry people and heavy loads to areas without roads. Camels also provide numerous other benefits to desert inhabitants. They carry their own built-in food supply in the form of a hump, which is a large fat reserve that provides energy when food is scarce.
- King Fahd Causeway - King Fahad Causeway: Opened in 1986, this impressive 25km engineering marvel connects Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It ranks among the most expensive bridges globally. The causeway crosses Umm Al Nasan Island, a wildlife sanctuary, and features a facility area at the midpoint, including a tower restaurant, which visitors can enjoy even if they don’t travel the entire distance to Saudi Arabia.

Personal Tour of Old and new Bahrain - We had a wonderful trip with an excellent guide! Angela and her driver were most accommodating and knowledgeable! The car was comfortable and cool. Water was provided. They took us off the beaten path to include something we wanted to see that was not part of the scheduled itinerary.? We never felt rushed or hurried. Would highly recommend!!
