MANAUS/JUNGLE LODGE

Meeting of Waters - The day begins at 7:30 am with a pickup from your hotel in Manaus. The journey takes you to Ceasa Port, where you will board a speedboat on the Rio Negro. The first stop is the floating village of Catalão, where you will visit a fish farm to see the Giant Arapaima Gigas, the largest scaled fish in the world. You can feed them and experience their strength firsthand!

After the fish farm visit, the speedboat continues to the meeting of the waters, where the Rio Negro and Solimões River converge but do not mix. The journey proceeds along the river to Careiro village, followed by an hour-long road trip to Maçarico lake. The final stretch is by speedboat, arriving at the lodge around 11:30 am. A delicious local lunch will be served at noon.

Juma Floating Lodge (Pousada Do Nilson) - At 3:00 pm, a canoe trip begins, offering sightings of the renowned Amazon Pink River Dolphin and a variety of colorful birds. There will also be an opportunity for piranha fishing. The excursion lasts until about 6:30 pm, concluding with a stunning sunset view. Dinner is served at 7 pm, followed by an 8:30 pm adventure to spot the formidable Cayman. Your jungle guide will capture a Cayman for an up-close learning experience before safely returning it to its habitat.

JUNGLE TOUR

Juma Floating Lodge (Pousada Do Nilson) - The second day starts early at 5 am, departing the lodge at 5:30 am on a motorized boat to witness the jungle awakening at sunrise. Afterward, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast before embarking on a morning trek. The jungle guide will share insights about the Amazon, including its medicinal plants and diverse insects. You’ll also encounter native wildlife, such as playful monkeys! After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch.

Juma Floating Lodge (Pousada Do Nilson) - Afternoon activities commence at 3 pm with a canoe trip to the Várzea forest, an area with numerous small channels and waterways. This offers a unique view of the Amazon’s flora and fauna. During the dry season, from August to March, the trip is conducted on foot due to the absence of water. This area is ideal for spotting animals like monkeys, sloths, and various birds. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner.

JUNGLE TRIP

Juma Floating Lodge (Pousada Do Nilson) - The day begins at 7 am with breakfast. At 8 am, visit a local family living along the river to learn about their simple yet wonderful lifestyle. Discover how they cultivate their own food and sample local fruits. On the return to the lodge, enjoy a swim in the river, experiencing the fun as the local Amazonian people do.

At 1:00 pm, the journey back to Manaus begins, heading either to the airport or your hotel, with an expected arrival around 4:00 pm.
