- Roopmati Pavilion - A stunning example of Afghan architecture in sandstone, this pavilion majestically overlooks the Nimar Valley from its perch on a precipice. Initially designed as an observation post for the royal army, it was later expanded to allow Roopmati to worship the Narmada River for her beloved’s well-being.
- Jami Masjid - One of India’s largest mosques, Jami Masjid draws inspiration from the Umayyad Mosque, the Great Mosque of Damascus. Initiated by Sultan Hoshang Shah Ghori and completed in 1454 A.D. by Mahmud Shah Khilji, it showcases exquisite architecture with intricate Jali work, painted enamels, and beautiful domes and arches.
- Ashrafi Mahal - Known as the palace of gold coins, this structure is actually a Madrassa, a center for Islamic education. A seven-story tower was erected here to commemorate Mahmud Shah Khilji’s victory over Rana Khumba of Mewar, though only one story remains today.
- Ship Palace (Jahaz Mahal) - Built by Ghiyasuddin to accommodate 15,000 women in his harem, Jahaz Mahal resembles a ship. In its heyday, it was a magnificent palace featuring large halls, cenotaphs on the upper floors, and Turkish baths on the lower floor, complete with hot and cold water facilities.
