Enjoy a relaxed 2.5 hour snorkeling and walking tour at Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve in Manly, just a short hop from Sydney. This morning or afternoon tour gives both beginning and experienced snorkelers a chance to see some of the diverse marine life of Australia, launching right off the beach into calm waters with a variety of marine life. Your guide also takes your small-group, limited to 8 people, on a short walk on the headlands where you get great views of the Northern Beaches.
- Please wear closed-toe shoes suitable for walking
- Please bring swimwear, sunscreen, hat and towel
- Please note: wetsuit options are available to use on the day of travel: rash vest, spring wetsuit (short arms and legs) and steamers (full body suit)
- All participants must be able to swim 150 meters unassisted, float and tread water
- All medical requirements must be declared to our staff once booking is confirmed.
- Please note pregnant participants are not permitted to join the tour
- Children must be accompanied by an adult

We meet at Shelly Beach Manly in front of Boat House Cafe on the sand next to Palm trees. Look for our staff and flag. Arrive 5-10mins before tour start time.

wonderful first-time experience (fr Hong Kong family) - We joined the snorkel trip and nature walk with Ecotreasures and had an absolutely unforgettable experience 💙 Damien, the owner, was incredibly professional, attentive, and safety-conscious — especially with my sons who were snorkeling for the first time. He took time to guide them patiently and made sure they felt safe and supported throughout.
Damien was also very friendly, flexible, and truly understood our needs, ensuring we had the best possible experience. I read some older reviews that questioned his professionalism, and I genuinely don’t agree — what we saw was someone deeply committed to delivering quality service, skills / knowledge, and care. He goes above and beyond, and his focus on safety is clear and reassuring.
And the best part — we even got to see wild dolphins! 🐬 I’m sure we were lucky, but I also believe Damien’s deep knowledge of the area played a big part. This was a fantastic first-time adventure for our family, full of learning and joy — and at a very reasonable price.

Best snorkling experience - The walk was beautiful and the guide talked a lot about the nature and I learnt things I didn’t know before. Then the swim also was so cool! We had nice shots and the water was clear and calm. I would definitely recommend it to my friends who are visiting in summer.

Wonderful Wildlife on our Doorstep! - I took a group of senior geography students to investigate the beautiful marine ecosystem of Cabbage Tree Bay. We had an amazing day of exploration and discovery, seeing a huge range of different species that highlighted the biodiversity of the area. Damien and his team of expert guides were super-friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Would highly recommend this trip to any ocean lovers or anyone curious about the beauty that exists within such close proximity to Manly. Can't wait to come back again next year!

Will definitely do it again! - Highly recommend Eco Tours! Raff & Kieran hosted my son’s 9th birthday party. They were fun, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Damien was super responsive and helpful. Great communication.
It was such a nice touch to receive photos and videos they took during the tour.

Snorkeling in a great place :) friendly guides - Me and my Son loved it the guide Lauren was helpful. Had great knowledge of wildlife and fish whilst making it safe and fun
We got to see a turtle and a stingray which Lauren pointed out we also saw the blue groppers they are super cool. Lots of other fish.

Wonderful day - Jules made me love everything about God's creation here in Australia. She was cheerful, patient and kind and pointed out lovely plants and animals. She took great care of me and the group so we were able to Snorkel a great length and see many wonderful fish and plants. The wetsuit made the chilly waters seem wonderful. I was here for early autumn.

Lovely, but the meeting arrangements could be clearer. - The snorkelling is lovely.
However, the meeting arrangements are extremely inflexible. We arrived at 9:20, for the 9:30 tour, and 4 of us (one who is a travel agent) were walking around the carpark looking for ecotreasures and could not see them. We walked to the top of the carpark (as per the website) at 9:30 but there was no clear signage of the company.
The 'walk' section started promptly at 9:30 but we missed it! The guide "did not answer messages once the tour began". While understanding this we all thought it was VERY inflexible. Finally (after the walk) we got through to the guide who allowed us to join the snorkel. We felt that it was entirely our fault, which we accept some responsibility for but even a minimal degree of flexibility (and clearer signage) would have alleviated.

OVERPRICED - Waayyyy overpriced. Hire some snorkeling gear for $30 and go to Shelly Beach yourself. Take a walk around the headlands. Laura was very lovely though.
