The journey begins from Maputo at approximately 08:30/09:00, embarking on a pleasant 45-minute drive to Macaneta. As the city fades into the distance, the route takes travelers past the renowned Costa do Sol beach, through the quaint town of Marracuene, and across the newly constructed bridge over the Incomati River. The atmosphere gradually shifts from the bustling city to a serene coastal landscape, featuring local villages, roadside markets, grazing cattle, and abundant natural beauty.

Before reaching the resort, there is a brief stop at the renowned Macaneta Glass House (Casa de Vidro), an intriguing structure crafted from recycled glass bottles and cement. This unique location offers a small museum and library where visitors can learn about recycling and nature conservation. With a bit of luck, monkeys and squirrels might make an appearance to greet visitors.

Upon arrival at the resort, guests can stroll down to the beach, unwind, enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, savor some food and drinks, and admire the stunning views of the river and ocean. The return journey to Maputo is scheduled for around 17:30.
