• Medellin - The group will gather at the designated time with the guide in Parque del Poblado to embark on an exciting journey to the renowned town of zócalos: Guatapé!
• Marinilla - To kick off the day with great energy, there will be a brief stop along the way to savor a delicious traditional breakfast.
• Penol - The journey continues through the town of New Peñol, where the urban center was established following the relocation of Old Peñol’s residents due to the construction of the Guatapé dam. As the group travels down the main street, they will observe the iconic Phoenix sculpture, symbolizing the community’s rebirth, and a vibrant mural celebrating tomato growers, who play a vital role in the region’s economy and culture.
• Parque Tematico Replica del Viejo Penol - The first stop is the Replica of the Old Peñol, a scale model of the old town square offering a stunning view of the dam and showcasing colonial-style architecture. Cameras should be ready to capture moments, including dressing up in a ruana on one of the balconies of the local establishments!
• Piedra Del Penol - The highlight awaits: THE PEÑOL ROCK! Imagine climbing the 700 steps to reach the summit of this massive batholith and being rewarded with a breathtaking 360º view of the surrounding scenery. It sounds incredible, doesn’t it?
• Malecon de Guatape - Following the thrilling ascent of Peñol Rock, a delightful traditional lunch will be served to recharge and continue enjoying the tour.
• Guatape - The tour concludes with a brief guided walk through Guatapé, exploring its most iconic spots such as Calle de las Sombrillas, Plaza de los Zócalos, Calle del Recuerdo, and Parque Central. Participants will then have free time to explore the town further at their own pace or enhance their experience with a jet ski ride or a spectacular helicopter flight, creating unforgettable memories!
• Guatape Dam - The tour continues with a relaxing luxury boat ride on the reservoir, offering views of islands emerging from the water and the impressive landscapes and properties owned by notable figures from Medellín.
• El Alto del Chocho - Before heading back to Medellin, there will be a stop at a small animal farm to interact with LLAMAS and HORSES, where participants can feed and engage with them.
