- Dalyan - Upon arrival in Dalyan, board the boats to reach the first destination, the meeting point of Dalyan and Köyceğiz Lake. Here, a 10-minute stop allows for an informative session about the fascinating history of Köyceğiz Lake. A short boat ride then takes you to Sultaniye Mud Bath, located on the lake’s shore. Sultaniye Thermal Spring / Mud Bath, renowned as the oldest and most active bath in the region since the Lycian era, is considered the finest among the local mud baths. The site features several hot water pools with a strong sulfur scent, known for their healing properties. Entering these pools rejuvenates the skin, making it feel younger and smoother, while promoting relaxation and health by detoxifying the body.
- Lycian Rock Tombs - Following a lunch break, the tour continues with a boat ride along the canal. The view of the Rock Tombs from the ancient trade city of Kaunos, visible on the canal en route to Iztuzu Beach, is truly captivating. A brief stop here allows the tour guide to share more insights about the Rock Tombs.
- Iztuzu Beach - The tour proceeds to Iztuzu Beach, where the Dalyan River meets the sea, for a 1.5-hour break for swimming and relaxation. With some luck, you might spot the Caretta caretta turtle, the world’s second-largest hard-shelled sea turtle, in its natural habitat. Although scientific evidence is limited, it is believed that the Caretta caretta turtle has inhabited and reproduced in the area for 40 million years. Keep your cameras ready, as you never know when you’ll have the opportunity to capture a photo of this magnificent creature!

The Dalyan River flows from Köyceğiz Lake to Turtle Beach, also known as Iztuzu Beach. As the riverboat navigates the river, passengers can admire the ancient Lycian tombs, approximately 2,000 years old, carved into the cliffs above the historic harbor city of Kaunos. Founded around the 9th century BC, Kaunos became a significant city in Caria around 400 BC, with the rock-cut tombs reserved for the royal figures of Kaunos.
Upon arrival at Turtle Beach, guests will have the chance to sunbathe, swim, and relax. The beach is closed to the public from May to September to protect the endangered loggerhead turtles.
The day concludes with a refreshing outdoor mud bath at Köyceğiz Lake before returning to the hotel in Fethiye.
