• Ephesus Terrace Houses - The Terrace Houses in Ephesus provide an intriguing look into the opulent lifestyle of the city’s elite during Roman times. With well-preserved mosaics, frescoes, marble floors, and advanced heating systems, these homes showcase the wealth and sophistication of ancient Ephesus. Situated on the slopes opposite the Library of Celsus, the Terrace Houses are protected by a modern structure and can be optionally visited during an Ephesus tour.

• Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - The House of Mary, also known as the Virgin Mary’s House, is a respected pilgrimage site near Ephesus, Turkey. According to Christian tradition, it is believed to be where the Virgin Mary spent her final years. This small stone house, located on a wooded hillside, was reportedly discovered in the 19th century based on the visions of a German nun, Anne Catherine Emmerich. It has since become a place of veneration for both Christians and Muslims, attracting visitors seeking spiritual peace. The site includes a simple chapel for prayers and reflection on Mary’s connection to early Christianity. • The Temple of Artemis - The Temple of Artemis, or Artemision, was an ancient Greek temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis. Situated in Ephesus, near present-day Selçuk, Turkey, it was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This splendid temple was famous for its vast size and grandeur, featuring 127 towering columns adorned with intricate artwork. It served as a center of worship and a symbol of the city’s wealth and prestige. The Temple of Artemis was built and rebuilt multiple times, with the most renowned version constructed around 550 BCE. Sadly, it was destroyed by arson in 356 BCE but was later rebuilt. Today, only a few scattered ruins remain at the original site, yet the temple’s historical significance and its status as one of the Seven Wonders continue to inspire awe worldwide.

• The Basilica of Saint John - Located 3 km from the ruins of Ephesus, a small church was initially built in the 2nd century AD, dedicated to John. Later, in the 6th century AD, it was replaced by a grand basilica constructed by Emperor Justinian. The impressive ruins still stand today.
