Serene Memorable Experience. - I really wanted to do this trip after seeing the reviews. I love my natural wonders, and the opportunity to see salt flats was not something I wanted to miss. Me and my friend decided to go for the evening trip rather than the morning one and I'm so glad we did. It was still busy so we can only imagine how much more busy it would have been in the day. But as the night drew in things quietened down and it really felt like our special sanctuary. We even so a wonderful bride getting married there. What made our trip truly special was that we were the only English speaking people on the trip! This might sound off-putting but it actually made the whole experience far more special. Turns out Russians tend to go on the evening trip and bits tend to go on the day trip. No one knows why. But we weren't left without because of the language barrier. The Russians had their own tour guide, a lovely woman, and we got our our personal tour guide called Merit. He was absolutely fantastic. A young man with a lot of passion. He was very relaxed and his English is excellent. People would pay so much extra to get a personalised tour like he gave us. We felt so special. We first went to a place where they sell items made of stones that are culturally significant in the area. I will say the first two stops, the stones and the wine tasting are designed to get you to buy stuff however they were still fun experiences. We did buy stuff - i bought a bracelet, my friend a sultan stone ring (they teach you about this rock in the museum and because we were English we had our own guide who took us through the museum separately). The museum is small and more of an add on for the shop. The wine tasting was unexpected but much better. Here we were treated like royalty, taken away from the larger Russian group and into our own personal wine tasting room where a lovely lady from Bali talked about the wine and gave us some tasters. We bought some pomegranate wine as it was lovely. The whole building is really nice - luxurious and dark. Then we were taken to a large shop joine to the wine tasting area, where the shop was essentially closed off for just me and my friend. We had a private shopping experience, with the lady from Bali being our personal shopper. They showed us around the wares and we bought some tea (which they discounted) and some Turkish delight. Fellow Brits, remember its okay to say no thank you. Finally the main bit - the salt shelves. Absolutely stunning. I could have stayed there all day. Again Merit took us on a personalised tour, just the two of us, and told us about the history of the ruins and generally just chatted with us and we had a great time. Lovely guy. Even wanted a selfie with us. Then we were left to wonder for a few hours. There was actually a storm on the horizon, which might appear to be a bad thing - however we felt it made the whole place even more dramatic. As Merit suggested, we watched the sunset from the theatre. As the night drew in it was so peaceful. Then ruins are huge by the way. Lots to look at. As big as pompeii from what I can remember. Then after that we had dinner at a local restaurant. I love communal eating, but it's a simple light meal so just make sure to buy/eat snacks earlier. They stop off on the journey in, about halfway, for you to buy food and go to the toilet. It was very cheap. 3 hours journey back. They dropped us off at a taxi rank so we could get back to adakoy. Cons: - We had to change pickup location twice as we were led to believe they were going to come to cook's club adakoy (they don't) and we found out the day before. Also a blockade meant they couldn't come to collect us at the location stated, which is fine, but there was no communication. If I hadn't called up their driver on WhatsApp it did feel like they may have left without us as they were more than 30 minutes late. - Expect to be pressured into buying stuff. To us brits even light pressure can feel like a lot, so just keep that in mind. - dinner could have been more substantial Overall great trip, great memories and great people. Would highly recommend. And thank you Merit for such an incredible and lovely time. You really made it special for us.

Pamukkale: still enchanting, even with less gush - First things first, a big thank you to Berat for being our guide on this very pleasant trip. His calm and friendly demeanor was genuinely appreciated, and the insights he shared with us were very interesting. It certainly made the journey more enjoyable! The Trip Itself: Pamukkale's Evolving Beauty Now, about the main attraction: Pamukkale. Last year, The Daily News reported on a decrease in the water flow over the past 30 years. And it's true, the iconic white cliffs are only partially covered by thermal waters these days. However, for someone who hasn't seen it in its full, historic watery glory, the place remains enchanting. It still holds a unique charm, even with less water. Is It Worth the Journey? I can fully recommend this trip. It's genuinely worth the three hours spent traveling by bus each way from Marmaris. The timing, particularly at this period of the year, is perfect for experiencing the sunset. You get to witness it just as it begins to dip below the horizon, then it’s a quick transition back to the bus for dinner. Our departure was around 8:30 PM, with the best sunset views, due to the surrounding mountains, typically around 8:15 PM. Pre-Ancient City Stops Before we reached the ancient city, we made a couple of stops: one at a shop featuring typical local stones and another at a textile shop. If you're keen on purchasing souvenirs or local goods, there’s ample time for that. For those primarily interested in the cultural experience, a little patience is needed during these stops. Perhaps grab an ice cream to pass the time. Final Thoughts This day trip easily earns 5 stars, though it truly has the potential to be a two-day, one-night experience. When you go, be sure to arm yourself with sunscreen and comfortable shoes. There's far more to explore in Hierapolis than you might initially think (did you know that higher than the Ancient Theater you can find Saint Philip tomb? The view from there is even better). If your sole purpose is to enjoy the thermal waters, then flip-flops might suffice. However, for a proper exploration, good footwear is essential.

Pamukkale - We had a great guide Nur, highly recommended, she is amazing! The view of the sunset on Pamukkale was stunning! It’s better to take later trip there as it is not so crowded.

Lovely trip with excellent guide - Lovely views and trip - the guide Berat was very helpful and accommodating :) The journey is quite long but the view is definitely worth it !

Sunset in pamukkale - It is a long day starting about midday and arriving back to hotel around midnight The journey out is q you te long as one comfort stop and then a visit to the onyx factory before getting to pamukkula The sunset is about 18.45 and you have about 3hrs to explore the site Well worth the visit for the views and the sunset

Better at night! - We were lucky to find a tour which offered midday departure for Pamukkale. First it was great not to be up too early; also it was great to have less people at the salt pools area. We watched the sun setting behind the mountains with fresh evening breeze. The guide Ozkan is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the area. We made several stops on the way at the coffee shops and factories to browse through some of the beautiful Turkish handicrafts. We recommend this company 👍

Pamukalle - Oskan was a great guide, very friendly and made our trip more interesting. The trip was great, I recommend visiting this place in the evening

Nice tour - The tour was really nice we enjoy it, we didn't have any problem with the reservation and Eric answered all our questions, probably I will choose again the same tour

Adventure ride - It was very nice to see. We were able to learn new things about the place and could take nice photos. our tour guide Mert was very nice and always helpful :). It should only be taken into account that the tour costs another 30€ admission on site.
