Darwin to Kakadu

Corroboree Billabong - Guests are picked up between 6:30 and 6:45 am from selected accommodations in Darwin. The Kakadu tour begins with a journey towards Kakadu, where participants join a wildlife cruise on Corroboree Billabong. This offers a wonderful chance to see crocodiles and abundant birdlife in their natural surroundings. Following the cruise, the drive towards Kakadu National Park begins.

Mamukala Wetlands - After the cruise, the journey continues towards Kakadu National Park. A stop is made for a picnic lunch at Mamukala, offering views across the flood plains.

Anbangbang Billabong - Post-lunch, the tour proceeds to Anbangbang Billabong. A hike to Gunwhardewharde lookout provides breathtaking views across the woodlands to the stunning Arnhem Land escarpment, while enjoying the scenery of Burrungkuy and Anbangbang Billabong.

Nourlangie Rock - After lunch, the tour heads to Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock), where participants learn about the Dreamtime stories and rock art of the area, highlighting its importance to the traditional landowners. The day concludes with a return to the safari camp at Mardugal Billabong, where guests can unwind around the campfire after dinner.

Kakadu National Park

Maguk Gorge - Following breakfast, the tour continues to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). A 1km hike through a paperbark forest, with some rock scrambling, leads to a plunge pool for a refreshing swim in a pristine setting.

Pine Creek - The return journey to Darwin passes through the historic town of Pine Creek, with an expected arrival in Darwin at approximately 5:30 pm, marking the end of the Kakadu tour.
