above & beyond - We had the most fantastic 10 day trip to Morocco with DesertTrips! Our trip, visiting Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara desert, Fez, Chefchaouen, Rabat and Casablanca, felt like we were being guided through Morocco by a friendly local showing off their country! Once you contact them, they will provide you with a detailed itinerary which includes your pick up and drop off at the airport. Flights are not included but once you have them booked you simply provide the company with the flight numbers..etc and they coordinate everything else. What an effortless way to travel! Every last thing was done for you and when travelling as two females in a country like Morocco, this was very reassuring indeed. Their travel information provided for the trip was exceptional and came in a format that you could print or simply read from your phone or tablet. There was so much useful information and it was beautifully presented. I have already forwarded it to others considering a trip to Morocco. Our driver and guide Moha, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, attentive, and above all great fun. All our stops were well planned for both timing and what to see. The local guides are well researched and really helpful. All our accommodation was excellent and unusual. The food provided was great and locally sourced. As for our night under canvas? Magical, just magical! We opted to change the time of our camel ride from sunset to sunrise. The best decision yet. Not only was it a far colder option but was a better use of our time spent in the desert. The camels all looked well looked after unlike some I have encountered in other travels. We were led over the sand dunes quite a distance from the camp and then invited to dismount. The blankets on the camels were then placed on the top of a sand dune for us to sit and watch the sunrise. Yes, a definite tick box for the very extensive bucket list! Is short, if you are considering the desert experience or any other experience with DesertTrips, then go ahead and book. You will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful 10-day tour of Morocco organised by DesertTrips! - I booked with DesertTrips and this was the best decision I've ever made! No standard tour did exactly what we wanted, which is why we looked at a bespoke solution. Med was very effective in talking us through our wish-list so he could understand our requirements. I received excellent recommendations for things to do, and even one idea that I was talked out of which turned out to be very good advice. We checked the proposed itinerary and discussed a few changes. They then produced a revised proposal with costings. Their method is to give one inclusive cost rather than break it down into individual on-costs and then their arrangement fee. However, the total cost was similar to group holidays from the upmarket tour companies. In fact they gave us two quotes, one for staying at luxury accommodation hotels at each location, the other with slightly standard accommodations each time. We checked every hotel in the online review sites and told Med our preferred hotel in each location. They then gave us a revised costing, which we agreed to. Then confirmed our trip. Before contacting Med, I did an in-depth cost analysis of the itinerary, comparing what it would cost if I did the same itinerary on our own. The price difference was nominal, but the experience wouldn’t have been anywhere near as good. There were many, many times on the trip that my wife and I commented to each other how glad we were that they were making the arrangements and that we would have had a mess on our own. One example of this was our accommodation in Marrakech. Our driver’s skill and local knowledge got us into the city roughly an hour earlier than if I had been driving or on a bus. This allowed us to enjoy an activity in Marrakech that we otherwise would have missed. But, more importantly, we couldn’t have known that cars can’t get close to the Medina (old city) Riads. Our driver got as close to the Riad as possible and we were greeted by a representative from the Riad who took our bags and walked us to the Riad. The amazing and wondrous medieval streets of Medina are part of the attraction; however, there was no way we would have found that Riad on our own. Just no way! Of course, our driver had called ahead and arranged this so that a difficult and confusing arrival to the Riad was instead a convenient and efficient transfer. This is one example of many which proved to me that going with DesertTrips was the best decision I made. I don’t have the time or energy to struggle to learn logistics in a new country when DesertTrips, and our excellent driver who they hire, do it all for me. I am left to enjoy my travels. I'm sure we will be travelling with this company again and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Morocco.

Ten Day Morocco Tour - From the beginning when we contacted Desertrips from our home in Canada until we were let off at the Marrakech train station to begin another part of our journey, we felt well taken care of. Great customer service! Hassan was our driver for our time in Morocco and he was so nice, friendly and attentive. Plus, he never tired of answering our many questions! I highly recommend this tour company.

I will surely look to Desert trips for my future travels and hope to have or recommend Said as our guide and driver - Overall impression of the trip- WONDERFUL!!! Even though it was fast-paced, I loved the itinerary. I picked this one as it covered several cities and major landmarks such as Marrakech, Ait Benhaddou, Merzouga Desert, Fes, Volubilis, Chefchaouen, and Rabat. At each location, you were given just enough time to explore, relax, and purchase souvenirs. The camel trek was unforgettable! My friend and I added a few extra tours. We booked a hot air balloon in Marrakech and a "Traditional Hammam with Massage". We also visited Majorelle Garden Definitely a MUST see. Guide/driver- Said was very knowledgeable and informative with every destination, he was extremely efficient with all of his responsibilities, and most engaging. Said looked after every detail to ensure that we made the most out of our trip, and was very patient. He was very personable and shared some of his family life with us, creating a more personal experience with us. Said arranged a very special and memorable Birthday celebration at our dinner event for me that I will treasure forever. Everything that we asked of him or needed was accommodated or made possible with his commitment to our full satisfaction. He was truly amazing navigating through all of our destinations, city tours, excursions, and challenging hotels/riads. Hotels- overall, all of the hotels were nice. Riads were very top- NOTCH, really enjoyed the ones in Marrakech, Fes, Chefchaouen, and Rabat. Meals- Breakfasts were outstanding, never had a bad breakfast. Touhfa Kasbah in Marrakech and the one in Fes were my favorites. Local guides-Excellent. Spoke Very good English, very knowledgeable and friendly. I look forward to the day I get to travel with Desert trips again. This was my first Moroccan private tour, and I was very pleased with it. My friend has been on other escorted tours with other companies, and she said they are the best.

The experience of Morocco makes it a destination I would like to return to - Khalil took my requests for Morocco less than 8 days before I arrived and provided me with a ten day trouble free plan which included everything I wanted to see and more. My travel was excellently coordinated with Saiid the best driver, he went above and beyond to help me make the most of my days traveling in this surprising and beautiful country (via luxury car)...he spoke perfect English! I highly recommend their tours and look forward to more myself!

They did a perfect job tailoring the private trip to suit our interests. - Great experience working with Deserttrips for my family's 10 day trip to Morocco in Nov-Dec 2024. from the planning team to our driver Zaid and local tour guides Mohammed and Hassan, it was a smooth and unforgettable trip. We liked the personal attention given to making sure that we enjoyed our excursions and tours. we liked the fact that the tour was totally customizable and that we could add to our itinerary if something interesting came up - like a hot air balloon ride in Marrakech or having a relaxing hammam experience with a stellar massage...cet! We could also alter plans if we needed to take a break from touring or stay at a site a little longer than planned. Everything was expertly handled and we felt safe and secure always. The riads and hotels were perfect for us with meals, excellent service, and attention to detail. I cannot think of one thing we would have changed in this amazing adventure and that is quite a testimony to Deserttrips!! I don’t know when we'll go on another trip, but it will not be without this team by our side. If you ever want a truly great vacation that encompasses everything you ever dreamed of, you must book with them!

You'll be in great hands! - DesertTrips was brilliant from start to finish. We cannot recommend them highly enough. we love everything about this trip! From our driver Saiid and local guides, Mustafa and Mahdi to the food, camels rides, sand boarding, our trip to Morocco was one of our best-ever holidays. The places we visited were above all expectations - Started the trip in Marrakech, then passed through Ouarzazate, Dades Valley, Merzouga Desert, Fes, Chefchaouen, winding up for a few days rest in Casablanca. Our driver Saiid, who was with us for the entire trip, was excellent and really helpful. He's knowledgeable, sensitive to your needs, what to see, the best bathroom stops, and just a very kind man! We were so well looked after and we felt safe in his hands, At every stop we were met with hospitable and knowledgeable local guides and the Riads were TOP NOTCH. The tour was immaculately organized from start to finish we had not 1 complaint about it. We loved it! Not sure how they were able to accomplish this in such a tight time frame but it demonstrates the depth and strength of their relationships and knowledge. I give them high marks and won't hesitate to use them again!

Magic of Morocco Adventures with DesertTrips - When we arrived in Casablanca on our first day in Morocco, we learned that the desert had been hit by extraordinary torrential rains, causing serious flooding. It was a strange feeling, both worry and wonder, knowing that the Sahara, a place I'd always imagined as endless dry sand, was transformed by such rare and powerful forces of nature. Thankfully, by the time we reached the Sahara Desert, much of the water had drained away, though many of the sand dunes had been completely washed out, leaving a landscape reshaped and unfamiliar. Our private guide, a former nomadic Berber, demonstrated incredible skill as he navigated the sand dunes, with a great sense of direction. With calm precision, he drove us through flooded areas to the fossil mountain, where we had the unexpected thrill of fossil hunting. To top it all off, he surprised us with a visit to a nomadic Berber family, giving us a glimpse into their way of life, a fleeting but intimate moment that left a deep impression. Before we knew it, we were back on our way, crossing to the other side of the Sahara. It was a truly unique experience, filled with a sense of adventure and connection to both the land and its people. Picture camel treks across the Sahara, thrilling ATV rides, stargazing under the vast desert sky, and a romantic hot air balloon ride, every moment felt like pure magic. At the end we wrapped up our journey with a Moroccan tajine cooking lesson—the perfect ending to an amazing adventure.
