Wonderful cooking experience as a Mother-Daughter trip - Fabulous experience cooking with my daughter as part of a mother daughter trip. We cooked Lamb Tagine which took about 3 hrs but we had the best time, cooking together, drinking moroccan tea during the tea ceremony and listening to the stories. Would definitiely go back for more.

An authentic Moroccan culinary experience - This cooking class is a must for anyone looking to learn how to make authentic Moroccan cuisine from experts. This non profit organization is providing training and skillsets to a wide variety of Moroccan women seeking a better life. Our group had such a great time making chicken ,fish and vegetable tagine. The place is spacious and the staff are most welcoming. A truly worthwhile experience during a wonderful trip to Morocco several weeks ago!

Vegetarian tagine at AMAL Targa Center - We made vegetarian tagine which was delicious. The staff, chefs and students made us very welcome. The setting was lovely and the morning was fun, informative and relaxing. Thank you to everyone involved. We also visited the AMAL restaurant in Gueliz, Marrakesh. Also heartily recommended for its beautiful leafy courtyard and wonderful food.

Incredible experience - Incredible experience, to do with friends. On the one hand you learn how to make a couscous and on the other hand you are shown how to make tea with herbs from the garden, followed by the tea ceremony while listening to the history of the association. I recommend and I would do a course for sure!! Thank you to the whole team!!

Great experience! - A friend had told me about the restaurant of this Association, where she had eaten very well. We chose to attend the cooking class: it was absolutely worth taking a taxi to reach this cooking school!! Guided by the chefs of the school with their students, we composed and cooked each the dish they had chosen to make when booking; Chef and students were understanding, patients in short... delicious! The young man (whose name unfortunately I do not remember) who welcomed us and followed us throughout the experience is professional and engaging: while the foods were cooking, we prepared Moroccan tea together and in the meantime he illustrated the Amal project, the aromatic herbs of the adjacent garden and the customs and customs of Moroccan society, and he was very helpful in answering all the questions of the group. Every now and then the chefs and/or students would "call us to order" to go to the kitchen to check the cooking. Once all the preparations were ready, we shared everything and... we cooked well, it was all very good! Well-kept and clean spaces, beautiful glance of the stations with each colored jars with spices inside. We therefore spent a very formative morning for us, knowing that we have contributed to an excellent project! We learned that cooking classes for women aged 18 to 45 are free, that cooking classes and the sale of gadgets contribute to the payment of running costs and that the Association follows trained women during their integration into the world of work.

Fantastic experience and Supporting a Good Cause Too! - This was a highlight of our Moroccan vacation. The manager Rita (?) was fantastic, sharing her own personal story and life in Morocco. This is a training center for underprivileged and disabled people, teaching them cooking skills and placing them in jobs after. So we got to make and eat delicious food and contribute to a good cause as well. We got to choose what we were making in advance. Our group made Chicken pastilla, lamb tagine and chicken tagine. This was the best food we had in Morocco. We went to the Amal Targa Center.

Best cooking class in Marakech - There are many options for cooking classes in Marakech, but Amal's class is outstanding. A beautiful setting, an herb garden where you pick your own herbs to make delicious tea, and wonderful people doing wonderful work. Plus a delicious meal!

Heartfelt Mission and Tasty Food - We took part in a cooking workshop at the Amal Center in Marrakesh and overall look back on the experience positively. Amal does very meaningful work by training underprivileged women to become professional chefs and helping them find employment in hotels, riads, and other hospitality venues. Supporting such a cause alone makes the visit worthwhile. The workshop itself is (comparatively) a bit expensive, and the center is not located in the heart of Marrakesh, which makes it less convenient to reach. However, we were warmly welcomed, and everyone involved was extremely kind, patient, and eager to share their knowledge. The workshop ran about an hour longer than scheduled, which is worth keeping in mind if you have other plans afterward. That said, the atmosphere was relaxed, and everything was explained at a comfortable pace. The food we prepared together was delicious, and it was very enjoyable to share the meal at the end. We wish the Amal center the best of luck and hope they can help more women in the future!
