Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
Marrakech - This exciting 4-day Moroccan tour begins at your convenience: whether it’s your hotel, the station, the airport, or any other location, we will pick you up. Our driver will arrive in a comfortable vehicle that will be used throughout your journey.
High Atlas Mountains - During the drive, we will pause to appreciate the stunning mountain views and visit traditional Berber villages.
Ait Ben Haddou - Upon reaching Ait Ben Haddou, we will explore Morocco’s most renowned Kasbah. This Kasbah is a prime example of Moroccan architecture and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has also been featured in popular films and TV series such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, and Game of Thrones.
Ouarzazate - After our guided tour of the Kasbah, we will proceed to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert and often called the Hollywood of Africa. We will stop at Atlas Studio, the world’s largest film studio, for some exterior photos. Then, we will continue our journey through the Valley of Roses.
Dades Gorges - If time permits, we will drive to see the unique rock formations known as monkey fingers and the famous zig-zag road in Dades Gorges before reaching your hotel. If not, we can visit these sites the following morning.
Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Erg Chebbi Dunes
Todra Gorges - The kilometers of the Dades Valley ahead are breathtaking, as we will see while crossing the palm groves of Tinghir, Tinjdad, and Touroug, a near miracle in this arid land. We will briefly detour to the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with a small river running through its base. We will walk around to admire its vertical walls, beloved by climbers.
Erfoud - We will arrive in Erfoud, a city famous worldwide for its unique fossils. From here, we will continue to Merzouga, where dromedaries await to take us to the heart of the desert: the Erg Chebbi dunes. This is the best way to experience this fairytale landscape and feel the unique vibrations, colors, and sounds of this unparalleled environment.
Merzouga Desert - Our journey will conclude at a luxury tent camp, where we will be welcomed with tea and enjoy dinner in a peaceful and serene atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere. The starry sky will add extra magic to the night.
Erg Chebbi Dunes - Visit to Nomads - Khamlia - Merzouga
Merzouga - Witnessing the sunrise in the desert, especially over the dunes, is a highly recommended experience. You will enjoy this on the third day of the tour, before having breakfast at the tent camp and returning to Merzouga. Here, we will board an all-terrain vehicle to begin a day filled with culture and adventure.
Khamlia - The day will feature a performance by Gnawa music groups, descendants of former sub-Saharan slaves who settled in Khamlia. We will attend a concert to enjoy their authentic tribal percussion rhythms and colorful attire. Afterward, we will travel along dirt tracks once used by the Paris-Dakar Rally, passing khol mines and abandoned French towns from the Protectorate era. Here, we will meet nomadic families who, despite gradual sedentarization, maintain a lifestyle unimaginable in today’s fast-paced society. After spending time with these families, we will return to Merzouga, stopping at a panoramic point to enjoy the view of the dunes and desert. Back in Merzouga, we will relax in a beautiful, comfortable hotel perfectly integrated into the surroundings.
Merzouga - Rissani - Ziz Valley - Monkey Forest - Ifrane - Fez
Rissani - The fourth day marks the end of this tour, but it includes fascinating places and experiences until the very end. Our journey begins with a stop in Rissani, one of the desert’s most picturesque cities, especially its medina, where donkeys are still parked and spices are sold as in the past.
Errachidia - From Rissani, we will travel through the Ziz Valley to the Middle Atlas. Upon reaching the north face of these mountains, the landscape becomes greener and more humid. It’s no surprise that Ifrane National Park is located here, home to one of the largest colonies of Barbary macaques. The ancient cedars here provide an ideal habitat.
Ifrane - The route continues through the unique town of Ifrane, whose gabled roofs resemble those of European or North American mountain towns. This is due to the heavy snowfall it receives in winter.
Fez - Finally, we will arrive in Fez, the imperial city where the tour concludes. We will take you to your desired location in the city, whether it’s a hotel, the medina, or any other place. Our services will conclude here, with the hope of having provided an exceptional experience.
