DAY 1: MARRAKECH - IMLIL - TACHEDDIRT

Marrakech - Embark on a 6-day trek from Marrakech to Imlil, departing from your hotel and traveling via Asni.

Imlil - As the main starting point for hikers, Imlil is where the mule team is met. Once all equipment is loaded, the journey begins along the Valley towards Tacheddirt, approximately 8 km beyond Imlil. The trail soon ascends to the pass at Tizi n’Tamatert (2,279m).

Tacheddirt - Descend to the charming village of Ouaneskra and continue for about half an hour to Tacheddirt (3,000m), where camping is typically set up near the river. Enjoy the 6-day Atlas mountain trek to Lake Ifni and Toubkal.

DAY 2: TACHEDDIRT - AZIB LIKEMT

Tacheddirt - Cross the Valley and begin a long, gradual ascent to the pass at Tizi Likemt (3,555m). The path is challenging due to the loose scree underfoot.

Toubkal - At the summit, take in the first stunning view of the Toubkal massif before descending to the village of Azib Likemt, where the night is spent camping.

DAY 3: AZIB LIKEMT - TIZI N’OURAI - AMSOUZERT

DAY 4: AMSOUZERT - LAKE IFNI

High Atlas Mountains - The sight is unforgettable, surrounded by rocky mountains and large piles of rubble, and is notably deep. Arrival is expected by lunchtime, with the afternoon spent relaxing by the shore. Camping is set up in this area for the night.

DAY 5: LAKE IFNI - NELTER HUT

High Atlas Mountains - By this point, fitness and acclimatization should be optimal, ready to face the trek’s most challenging day. The path leads up a steep, seemingly endless scree slope.

Atlas Mountains Guided Tour - Eventually, the pass at Tizi n’Ouanoums (3,664m) is reached, a narrow ledge between two rock shafts. From here, a long zigzag descent leads to Nelter Hut, a mountain refuge for the night (or alternatively, camping outside).

DAY 6: MT. TOUBKAL SUMMIT - IMLIL

Aremd - Depart before dawn, following a well-trodden path to the summit. If conditions are favorable, reaching the summit should take 2-3 hours, offering expansive views of the entire Atlas range and the Marrakech plains.

Imlil - Return to base and descend swiftly to the villages of Sidi Chamharouch and Aremd, then follow the Mizane River along a well-forested trail to the trailhead at Imlil. If staying in Marrakech, transportation will be provided by car at the day’s end.
