Amazing tour made even more amazing by Ismail - Amazing day out at the Atlas Mountains with Ismail. We were picked up promptly and were made to feel very welcome by Ismail from the start. Ismail was so friendly, knowledgeable and professional throughout the tour. It was the best tour we’ve done in a very long time long time. The depth of knowledge on all things was amazing . Great stops for photos and visits including a Berber breakfast, amazing Berber lunch after our walk, and coffee by the river. The trip was very well organised, informative and really good fun. I would thoroughly recommend this tour and more importantly thoroughly recommend Ismail. A really genuine person, very funny and a nice guy with great taste in music!! He made the trip

Truly Exceptional Experience! - This tour is an excellent way to see the Berber lifestyle in the Atlas Mountains. The scenery is beautiful, the food is outstanding, and the village culture is interesting. Our guide Ismael was incredibly knowledgeable and SO much fun! I've traveled and taken tours all over the world and can honestly say he's the very best guide I've had! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. GO! You will be so glad you did.

A grand tour with Ishmael - My partner and I arrived 5 minutes late to the meeting place, but even so, Ishmael was kind enough to wait for us to arrive all the same. He welcomed us with a warm smile and made us feel very welcome on his tour. We then got in his nicely air conditioned Mercedes people mover and went to collect 2 other adventurers ( a couple of American chaps, also very friendly and personable people ). We headed off into the mountains for our journey. We started at a cosmetics cooperative ran by some widows in the mountains. They explained what they do, showed us how their products are made, and were kind enough to offer us breakfast ( which was a sweet nut paste served with bread, honey and tea - delicious ). I purchase some amber off them for my relatives back in the UK, but there is no pressure selling here. We climbed higher into the mountains, stopping for lots of pictures, and then arrived at a small village where we hiked for about an hour or so to the next village. We had the opportunity to speak with the locals, who were very friendly and accommodating, and even opened up their homes to show us around. Our hike concluded with a rooftop chicken tajine made by one of the local women; absolutely beautiful food! Sadly, during our trip, one of our American friends was taken quite ill. Ishmael was incredibly attentive to the sick man, and made no fuss about the necessary stops we made to ensure things did not get worse for him. You will not find a friendlier man in Marrakech than Ishmael. He’s chatty, witty, friendly and has the manners of a true gentleman. He spoke of his desire to visit the UK, and I suggested he keep in touch with me so I can extend to him the same hospitality and kindness during his visit, he showed to me and my other half on ours. I’d recommend this trip to anyone, and hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to have Ishmael looking after you. Thank you Ishmael, I can’t wait to meet you again in England!! Inshallah!

Great day out - We have just returned from the most amazing day out with Ismail our guide who is extremely friendly and knowledgeable he made us feel really special. The whole trip was well organised using the services of local people. Highlights were the Berger house for widowed women where we had breakfast made for us then shown how argon oil was made and given the opportunity to buy some products. Then we went on to a river where we were served coffee sitting on chairs in the water! On then to the next stop where we were taken by a guide for a 60 minute hike ending on a villagers rooftop for an amazing lunch of soup, bread, a chicken tangine finished off with oranges, banana and mint tea. The clear air and peaceful surroundings could not be beaten. Thoughout Ismail looked after us really giving us lots of opportunities for photos and sharing his knowledge of the area. This trip is highly recommended.
