Marrakesh - Embark on an adventurous day hike in the Atlas Mountains to ascend the Assaoul peak (2700m), one of the most impressive summits in the Toubkal region with breathtaking panoramas of the adjacent valleys and snow-capped peaks.
Transportation is provided from your Marrakech hotel or Riad to the Atlas Mountains. The journey begins at Imlil 1740m, the main trailhead for all excursions in the High Atlas Mountains, including the ascent to Toubkal’s peak. Upon meeting your guide, you’ll proceed to the Tizi N’Tamaterte 2279m pass through the village of Tamaterte and a pine forest, enjoying magnificent vistas of both the Imlil and Tachedirt valleys. Continue along the left-hand path to reach the first summit, then traverse a brief ridge to arrive at the highest point, Assaoul or Talamroute (2700m).

Great Hike. Great Views. Great Food. - A challenging hike but we'll worth it with the views.
Guide was great. Picked up in Marrekesh and 1.5hour drive to Atlas Mountains, hike, then great food after the hike before journey back to marrekesh. Highly recommend.
