Amazing few days in the Altlas Mountains - We have just had a great few days walking in the Atlas Mountains and finishing with climbing Mount Toubkal. Day 1 was a beautiful walk up a valley with an amazing lunch once at the top of the pass. Day 2 and 3 were the trek to Mount Toubkal. The walks were great with stunning views but what made these few days so special was how well were looked after by our guide, Ahmed, and cook, Ibrahim. Ahmed did an amazing job of pacing us, showing us the views, giving us a little extra walk on day 1 to show us another view. On the day we climbed Mount Toubkal Ahmed paced us perfectly to arrive at the top in time for the sunrise. Other groups had got there early and by the time sunrise had come they were freezing cold, but Ahmed paced everything perfectly. But not oy was he our guide but while at pur accomodation he made sure we always had what we wanted and made sure we were happy. You will also not go hungry, the food Ibrahim produced while out walking and in our accomodation was far more than I expected and one of his meals, a lamb tagine, was our favourite while in Morocco! And there was always plenty of it too! Thank you Ahmed and Ibrahim for making our trip so special. Houssaine who runs the company was also fantastic, he organised this trip for us last minute and everything was organised for us. Whenever I had a question he replied very quickly. We also forgot some equipment so he organised for us to hire for a couple of days too. Thank you.

Climbed Toubkal and saw the sunrise from the top! - I can’t recommend Houssain and his team highly enough – this was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Mohammed was my guide and I could not have asked for more. He easily set the pace going up - to one that was comfortable for me. He was full of encouragement all the way to the top – and genuinely shared my excitement when we saw the sunrise on the top of Toubkal. On the way down, he was attentive to the point where he showed me where to put each foot on the icy patches – but then allowed me to set my own pace down to Armed, without making it obvious that I was going about 1/100 of his natural pace! His brother Abdul was the muleteer and the cook – he went ahead and cooked all my meals for the 3 day trek. The food was absolutely delicious 😊 We stayed the first night at the refuge – has to be done – but the second night Hussain and Mohammed encouraged me to walk all the way down to Armed, where I stayed in a guest house and had the best night’s sleep of my life! If, like me, you’re thinking about climbing Toubkal but not quite sure – have no doubts – book with these guys and do it! Great hike!!! - Great hike, not too easy and not too difficult technically. Overall, I can recommend it. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable - we felt safe with them. The Mood of the band was good and the overall rhythm too. The view was superb and it was definitely worth the trip.

Incredible journey - Incredible journey We spent 4 days in the mountains!!!! Two days hiking and two days on top of Mount Toubkal. The trip was made by our guide Houssain and his chef Hamid. Wonderful characters who were experts but also more than willing to learn about Berber cultures and life in the mountains. This 5-star review is for them. Houssain thank you for following us up into the mountains every day. Hamid was our own private chef who made amazing meals surrounded by the stunning landscape of the Atlas Mountains.

ethical and respectful - An unforgettable experience that exceeded expectations. Each day was varied with location and activities, it really was nothing like any trip I've ever been on. If I were to travel with a company it would be with one like Toubkal Treks that is ethical and respectful. It is important that local communities profit, and overall makes for a better experience! I will most definitely be travelling with Toubkal Treks again!

Great trek with Brahim. - Super stay with culmination the ascent of the Toubkal. Brahim is an excellent guide, full of humor and good humor. Thanks to him, I made the descent without falling. He is a person with many activities, in his village and elsewhere. He deserves to be known. He just needs to work on his French a little bit more, but it’s anecdotal.
