Lovely horses, and beautiful views! - We left the city at 9am, and headed to a women's cooperative around 40 mins away. Once we arrived the driver made it clear that we were under no obligation to purchase anything. Inside, we were given a Berber breakfast which consisted of homemade bread with traditional dips and tea. The stables were only a short drive from the cooperative. Once we arrived it was clear the horses were well looked after, and we were fitted with helmets and protective gear for our backs. My husband had ridden horses before, but I hadn't so they gave me a more gentle horse. The groom was very patient and attentive, and continued to check that I was feeling comfortable throughout the 1hr trek; he also offered to take pictures and videos on our phones multiple times which was greatly appreciated. The terrain was quite rough in parts, but the horses were happy walking everywhere and the scenery was beautiful! Both the groom and driver were very friendly, and had good English skills which made the whole process easier and stress free. We arrived back to the city just after 12:30. Would thoroughly recommend this trip for a morning out if you're looking for something a little different to do.

Excellent Guide Company! - We had the most wonderful day because of this company! Our driver, Youssef, was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We greatly enjoyed his company and talking about music, life, and culture. Stopping at the women's co-op was a memorable and meaningful part of our day. I loved meeting and learning from them. Our horses were perfectly chosen for us based on the information | provided (my and my husband's respective experience levels, height, and weight). These horses (and the stables) are cared for expertly. The horse trainer (our guide) was experienced, gentle, and took real joy from being with the horses. The horses clearly trusted and liked him - and so did we! Beyond that, the views of the Atlas Mountains and surrounding valleys were breathtaking. We loved our ride and absolutely would go again!

Beautiful riding experience - We chose to do this experience because we were fascinated by the idea of being able to ride horses in a picturesque landscape like that of the Atlas Mountains and I must say that our expectations were fully repaid. Everything was perfect, starting from our driver Youssef, very punctual and who knew immediately how to make us feel at ease talking amiably and with excellent English on various topics. The visit to the Berber village and the Argan oil processing cooperative was perhaps the least exciting, but still interesting part. The highlight was, of course, the horse ride: greeted by a very helpful guide, we could immediately get to know the horses that had been assigned to us and do some test drives in the enclosure. My girlfriend had experience in riding, but for me it was the first time: despite this I received from the guide all the information and useful tips to have a great experience. The walk took place along a path that was sometimes challenging and therefore never boring, surrounded by the peculiar landscape of this place. At the end of the experience, finally, we were dropped off at the pick-up point on time and we were able to continue our day.

Horse riding in the Atlas mountains. - Collected on time from our hotel, even though it was not on the list of pickups in private air-conditioned car. Our driver Youssef was very friendly, his English was fantastic. He stopped off on route to get us cold bottled water. On arrival at the stables we were greated by friendly, knowledgeable staff. We were asked about our riding experience and our horses allocated based on that. We were then fitted with hats and my husband provided with chaps, as he was wearing shorts. My husband, who is only confident trotting was given a calm gelding and I had a lovely stallion called Niram. We trekked out for 2 1/2 hours across the Atlas mountains not seeing another sole, until we passed through the Berber villages. We were greeted and waved at by everyone we saw. The strength of these people as they rebuild after the 2023 earthquake is astounding. The terrain made the ride interesting and challenging. We had opportunities to trotting when my husband felt secure and I had a couple of lovely fast canters. The weather, although hot, was tolerable in the mountains. We had saddlebags for our phones and water. On our return to the stables, the horses were immediately taken care of, untacked and cooled down and given a well earned drink and rest. We declined the offer of breakfast on our journey home. This was an experience that we would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning in the future.

Great Neigh! 😂 - What a great day. Sold a 2 and half hr horse ride and got it. Day started off at 9 drove into the mountains and stopped at a Berber house for breakfast (not needed but all these experiences have a bit off this involved) then a short ride further and arrived at the stables. Only had 3 reviews to go on, which were all last year, but the photos made everything look amazing. Booked it on that but was a little worried as the carriage horse in Marrakesh aren’t exactly well looked after ….. but on arrival nothing to fear. I think there were six or seven horses there, when we were there, all healthy clearly well looked after etc etc. Got saddled up….helmets, back protection, chaps all provided. And rode off into the outback and it was amazing! I did think that the 2 and a half hrs might have included the breakfast but no no no we were out solidly for 2 and half hours trekking up the mountains for some great snaps. Must have covered 6 to 7 miles. All I’ll say is take extra water (bring it from the hotel)… which we did. There is water provided but only a small bottle and not enough for a long horse ride. There is the option for an 1hr ride, I think, but I think you’ll be left wanting more. Do it!

Take the time to read! Disappointment after reading previous reviews - We have booked this experience ( 2.5 hours )based on the description and reviews. Given the rave reviews including photos, our expectations were high. It started very positively with a very friendly driver who spoke good English and shared some fun facts about Morocco. After an hour's drive (without breakfast?) we arrived at a building where they had camels, quad bikes and horses. No ranch as we expected and no box in which horses were ridden. We didn't get a chance to see stables. Toilets were too dirty for words! Horses were already saddled and picked up after which we were requested to take off. We were not offered a cap, the brackets were not adjusted to length and the saddles were okay but old and some spots were broken. Mane was trapped under the saddle and straps of the bridle were twisted, not really comfortable and possibly painful for the horse. Our guide didn't speak a word of English which was a shame and during the ride he threw our empty water bottles right into nature. The horses appeared friendly and looked healthy, but especially the horse I rode myself gave quite a challenge. Number of bucks and scaffolding and preference to gallop and jump up slopes. Certainly not a horse for beginners and not without protection! The horse of our guide also strutted regularly and against our horses. The horse my girlfriend rode was unfortunately quite lame, very sad to see and experience. Especially very handsome of the horse that despite the visible pain he was so sweet and calm. The route certainly offered a challenge, but we found it very unsuitable for the horses (especially the crippled horse! ) . Steep descents full of large boulders and stones that caused the horses to regularly refuse, slip and step. Due to the difficulty of the descents and rough ground, we have not really been able to do anything other than walk. The route was beautiful in itself, maybe we expected a little more forest. We did not go through a Berber village and did not stop at the women's cooperative as described. It was quite hot that day, but there was really no time for a break or drinking moment for the horses. Afterwards, our guide indicated when asked that this has been a different ranch than I had seen in the reviews, we felt a bit misled. The guide took us to the women's cooperative to take a look. This was a nice experience, but my doubts about whether men are also in charge here (young lady was sent away so a young man could take over and deal with the products with me ) Again had a nice return trip with the driver. Conclusion: disappointed after expectations and feeling a bit ripped off? 2 stars instead of 1 because of the driver. - pleasant contact with the organizer via the app. - poor hygiene / dirty terrain - lame/limping horse - too difficult surface for the horses - no protection - do not test drive in the box - no info about character horse - guide did not speak a word of English
