Marrakech-Safi - Day 1: Journey from Marrakech to Imlil & Trek to Toubkal Base Camp

• Morning: The adventure kicks off with a picturesque drive from Marrakech to Imlil, a charming village nestled in the Atlas Mountains, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours away. The route offers stunning views of scenic landscapes, Berber villages, and valleys.
• Arrival at Imlil: Upon reaching Imlil, you’ll be greeted by your knowledgeable guide and muleteers. After a brief orientation and preparation, the trek begins.
• Trek to Base Camp: The journey to Toubkal Base Camp (around 3,200 meters) is both challenging and rewarding, taking approximately 5 to 6 hours. The trail leads through lush valleys, streams, and rocky paths, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
• Evening at Base Camp: Upon arrival at the base camp, you’ll have time to rest and acclimatize. Enjoy a hearty meal and relax while taking in the stunning mountain scenery. Overnight accommodation is in a basic mountain refuge or camp.

Atlas Mountains Guided Tour - Day 2: Early Morning: Begin the summit trek early (around 5 AM) to witness the first light of the day as you ascend Mount Toubkal**, the tallest peak in North Africa at 4,167 meters. The trek is demanding, but with determination and the support of your guide, you’ll navigate the rocky slopes and ridges. The summit provides a panoramic view of the surrounding peaks, valleys, and even the Sahara on clear days.

• Summit & Descent: Upon reaching the summit, enjoy the breathtaking views and capture photos to commemorate your achievement. The descent back to the base camp takes about 2 to 3 hours.
• Return to Imlil: After a rest at base camp, you’ll trek back down to Imlil (around 3 to 4 hours), where your transport will be waiting for the return drive to Marrakech.
• Evening in Marrakech: Arriving in Marrakech by evening, the tour concludes. You’ll leave with a sense of accomplishment from climbing Mount Toubkal and cherished memories of your adventure in the Atlas Mountains.
