Imlil to Tamgist

Imlil - Day 1: Imlil (1740m) - Tizi n’Tamatert (2270 m) - Imenane Valley - Tacheddirt (2400 m)
Meet the guide and mule team in Imlil in the morning. After enjoying a refreshing mint tea, the gear will be loaded onto the mules, and the trek will commence. The initial goal is the pass visible to the left when facing up the valley. The path leads through the villages of Ait Souka and Tamatert, then ascends the forested trails to the pass at Tizi n’Tamatert at 2270 m. The views both backward and forward are truly breathtaking! Take a moment to rest and savor a freshly squeezed orange juice from the small kiosk while soaking in the scenery. From this point, the route descends to the valley floor for a lunch break. Afterward, continue trekking up the valley to Tacheddirt, where the night will be spent in a local gite.

Tizi N’Tacheddirt - Day 2: Imenane Valley - Tizi n’Aguersioual (2100 m) - Aguersioual Village (1650 m)
The second day begins with a hearty local breakfast, after which the mules are packed and the trek begins. The journey follows the valley, passing through several Berber villages, offering a chance to observe the buildings, people, and lifestyle as they engage in farming and daily activities, such as feeding animals and tending crops. The route then ascends to Tizi n’Aguersioual, where the views are equally remarkable as you overlook the two valleys from this elevated point. The trek then descends, passing villages nestled on the mountainside, to the roadside village of Aguersioual, where transportation will be waiting. Lunch will be enjoyed in the valley by the river. After exploring the Imlil and Imnan valleys, you can return to Marrakech or choose to stay nearby in one of the guesthouses in Imlil or another village.
