Palais bahia - A magnificent place to discover! The Bahia Palace is a must-see in Marrakech. It's true that it can get a bit crowded because it's very touristy, but it's still very pleasant to visit. The architecture, the details, the colors... everything is superb. A beautiful immersion in Moroccan history. A must-do!

Fabulous but arrive early! - Great visit. Took advice to arrive early and it was worth it to get ahead of the crowds...and the heat. Although, most of the photos I took were of ceilings, doors and windows. Incredible artistry and tile work. Breath taking and easily accessible from old town on foot.

Go with a guide! - Nice palace. After being all over Morocco and seeing a lot of palaces and other historical sites, I wouldn't say it was a must do, but we enjoyed it as we had a guide that could explain what we were seeing. There were some information signs but not a lot. Definitely go early when it is still cool )it was 110° today) and the crowds are less.

Must-see - To do absolutely with a guide, because the historical information is truculent. It is the magnificent palace of a vizier that housed his harem (4 legitimate women) and his 24 concubines (a priori forbidden). He had a preference for one of his wives, Bahia (also forbidden) whose name he named the palace. The riads respect local architectural rules (4 squares of symmetrical garden representing each season with a fountain in the middle). The walls of the palace are classically characterized in Marrakech by marble surfaces, wood carvings (cedar), faience and fences in windows allowing to see from the inside without being seen from the riads. Unfortunately the palace was damaged by the earthquake of 2023 and part of it, under reconstruction, was not visitable. Lots of people, even in the off season (10 euros/person)

Beautiful and intricate building - We visited the palace as part of a tour. The palace is a beautiful building with fantastic and beautifully intricate designs. Would like to come back once the repairs and restoration has been done as not all areas were able to be viewed

Too expensive - €10 p.p I thought was a bit pricey for what you get. Nice but not very spectacular. As a small trip or time filling worthwhile
