Typical atmosphere - Good pick up to go to the venue, but the meal and show was a bit fast. Otherwise good typical atmosphere.

A night out in Marrakech - The ambiance is terrific - very thematic and it captivates you from the moment you pull up. After an exciting welcome you are seated and the staff begin their service. Apparently dinner is only the food dishes which are traditional Moroccan food - delicious. You have to pay extra for water and tea (6 Euros) which you may not know about upfront. The reason that I allot 3 stats is because the 'spectular' as it is billed is very short and the belly dancing is nothing like in their advertising.... very underwhelming.

Laughably bad - I would have given Chez Ali one star but the laugh factor was worth one more. The best part of the evening was the tasty food and the galloping horse fantasia (which lasted two minutes). But the rest was laughably bad - awful service ( including a 10-minute argument between a couple at our table and our driver/handler when he told them they couldn't have the mechoui menu they'd ordered because the rest of us ordered the tagine), marginal music/dance performances during dinner, and a 20-minute arena "performance" of acrobatics on horses and a silly dance on a big platform. Like Disneyland - but done really badly. Waste of time and money.

Very disappointing evening - Very nice setting but mediocre meal and show without much interest. Duration: 3 quarters of an hour! Attention: provide cash because no payment by CB.

Terrible - If I could give 0 stars I would - do not visit Chez Ali if you’re visiting Marrakesh, the whole experience was terrible. Beautiful buildings and scenery. We were sat with 5 strangers and shared a small meal (using our own individual forks to pick up small pieces of lamb) , we were not given clean cutlery or plates between courses. Was offered drinks with no prices charged 200 DH for wine and water. The waiter was reluctant to give us our change. We sat in the restaurant for over an hour with little service. The show itself is around 30 minutes long, random horses charging around, loud gun bangs that obviously were stressing out the animals. A belly dancer on a float with smoke coming out of the exhaust. Randomly a flock of sheep at the end with no idea what was happening. The firework show was two fireworks.. lol The whole experience was laughable and it was a complete waste of money and time. Do not go!!

If ever you go to, don’t make the mistake of going to Chez Ali! - If ever you go to, don’t make the mistake of going to Chez Ali! It wasn’t cheap, but we thought what the hell, it will be a bit of fun. We over an hour on the mini bus before we got there, traffic, and picking up other foolish visitors. The journey took longer than we had to eat before the show, longer even than the show itself. The first surprise was the 10 euro a head ‘tax’ (no receipt given) when we arrived. The next was no drink was included at all. The food was poor, fatty tough untrimmed lamb, unappetising overcooked veg and cous cous, a pile of fruit, mainly oranges and grapefruit for dessert and half a glass of mint tea and a biscuit to follow. And the ‘show’, well words fail me, very slowly, loads of gaps some horse men rode around the area, then after more gaps they rode a bit faster and shot their riffles. There were a few stunts, a flying carpet too far away to see, and a belly dancer, again too far away to see anything but the lights on her costume. Ok it is December, but sitting on bare concrete step seating wasn’t brilliant, some people managed to get cushions, perhaps it’s because they didn’t question the ‘tax’ or they gave in to the waiters demand for tips! To be fair there were local musicians trying very hard to build atmosphere during the meal… and offset the obviously fake environment…. But overall… my advice is don’t bother folks.

The ball to escape - We were trapped like young people by easyjet holidays who sold us an exceptional show! at an exceptional price of 67 pounds sterling! At that price, we expected something huge, from disappointment to disappointment, a low-end meal, a shabby show!
