• Ait Ben Haddou - A planned stop at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou includes a guided tour, allowing exploration of historic mud-brick structures and enjoying the magnificent views. Lunch is available at local eateries, with prices ranging from 8 to 12 euros, featuring traditional Moroccan dishes like tagine and couscous.
• Atlas Studios - A visit to the Atlas Film Studios, one of the largest in the world, offers a chance to explore film sets where many renowned movies and TV shows, such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones, were filmed. The studio’s impressive backdrops replicate various historical and cultural landscapes, making it a captivating stop for film and history enthusiasts. Please note that entrance is paid, so the visit will be from the outside.
• Ouarzazate - The journey continues through Ouarzazate City, where the Kasbah can be viewed from the van as it is currently closed.
• El Kelaa M’gouna - The route proceeds through Kalaat M’agouna and the Valley of Roses, with a break for coffee, restroom, and smoking.
• Boumalne Dades - The day concludes at Boumalne Dades, where accommodations are provided in a comfortable guesthouse with private or shared ensuite rooms, including dinner and breakfast.
• Tinghir - The following day, after breakfast, the journey continues toward the picturesque Dades Valley and Todra Gorge, with a coffee, restroom, and smoking break.
• Todgha Gorge - Arrival at Todra Gorge includes a guided tour to admire the towering cliffs and stunning rock formations. The guide will share insights about the area’s history and nature. Post-tour, lunch is available at local restaurants, costing between 10 to 15 euros, featuring traditional dishes like tagine and couscous, with lovely views of the gorge. It’s a perfect spot to relax before continuing the journey. Tips for the guide are appreciated to acknowledge their efforts and assistance during the visit.
• Café Restaurant Tombouctou Touroug - After the tour, the journey to Merzouga resumes. Given the long drive, a stop is made to purchase water for the desert camp and take a break. Enjoy ice cream or coffee while relaxing, and feel free to chat with the driver and ask any questions.
• Book night in desert - Upon reaching the Osady camp in the Merzouga Desert, enjoy a camel ride to the camp, taking in the stunning dune views. Upon arrival, relax and have dinner while enjoying a Berber show with traditional music and dancing under the stars. There’s also an opportunity to admire the beautiful dunes before spending the night in a traditional Berber tent.
• Merzouga Desert - On the third day, wake up to breakfast at the camp, followed by a camel ride to the big dunes to witness the sunrise, a truly beautiful experience.
• El Kelaa M’gouna - The driver will make stops for restroom breaks, smoking, and coffee, with a longer pause in Kalaat Magouna for about 2 hours for lunch.
• Marrakech - Arrival in Marrakech is in the evening, with drop-off at the hotel, leaving travelers feeling happy and fulfilled from the trip.
