Just Do It! - I could write an essay on this amazing 6-Day Camel Trekking Morocco Erg Zahar experience with the Desertbrise team but I will try to keep it short(ish). This was an excellently organized tour, everything that was promised was delivered and MORE! Nothing was ever too much trouble and the favorite saying of our guide was: "Just relax, don't think and enjoy." We were able to do that because we were in very capable hands. We ended up being the only two travelers on the tour along with a guide, a cook/camel master in one person, a musician and two camels to carry all our gear and camping supplies. Due to the nature of the tour we actually really enjoyed not having other people there. The desert is a magical place that is better enjoyed in the company of a few. Our guide pushed us exactly the needed amount - we felt like we deserved our rest at camp every day. He did say that they monitor the walking capabilities of each traveler on the first day and adjust accordingly. I concur. Our feet ached but our hearts sang. :D I would recommend hiking sandals (we learned the hard way as our shoes were not up to par) as the desert scenery changed quite a lot. We felt like we walked through many different deserts, not just a small part of the Moroccan Sahara. The drive there and back is long, but it didn't feel so as the scenery changed every 40 min and there is a visit to a Kasbah and a break for lunch too. We were there in April and the weather was warm during the day and chilly in the mornings and after sunset. A light down jacket was enough to keep me warm (I get cold easily) and 2-3 blankets at night that were provided by the tour. The few things I enjoyed having with me were wet wipes (so that you can "wash" at the end of the day - you will be sandy!), hand sanitizer and a headlamp. If you want to make your camping team very happy, bring some chocolate along to share by the campfire. ;) The care, hospitality and authenticity was the best we experienced in our time in Morocco. And the food at camp really was the best we had at any restaurant in Marrakech! Our cook took great care to always wash his hands and he used bottled water and vinegar to clean all the veggies. Ok, the review ended up not being short, but I cannot praise the Desertbrise team highly enough. THANK YOU for an unforgettable adventure after I thought that I have seen and done so much that nothing could impress anymore.

To feel what life is like for nomads! - I recommend!!! I am not a fan of group trips but the service offered part DesrtBrise looks more like a private tour with a well-trained team! The organization was perfect! Departure and return on time. The tour itself is well balanced with a great diversity of landscapes and walking time that is long enough to have a sense of accomplishment but not too long that one cannot walk the next day. The team is also very good at finding the right balance between giving space to walkers to enjoy the desert and ensuring good group dynamics. the drive to and from Marrakech is long, but the scenery is great and there are several places worth a stop. Thank you to the whole team!! My suggestion: shoes type walking sandals rather than sneakers that fill with sand!

6 Day Desert Trek - My husband and I just returned from our 6-day desert trek with DesertBrise Travel. Our guides: Abdo, Ali and Mohamed were fantastic. They provided us with the Sahrawi Nomad experience through cooking, songs and dances by the fire, stories and historical commentary, explanations of traditional and medicinal elements, and a tour of local ruins, a walk across the drought-dried riverbed, ventured to the crest line between Morocco and Algeria, and much more. DesertBrise Travel is truly sustainable ecotourism by helping local families. A significant percentage is given to the poor, local nomads rent their camels for the tour, and their hired help comes from those families who need most to help support nomadic culture in today's demands. Our guides quickly led us through a storm on the first day and were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Depending on the conditions, they managed to put our comfort and safety first while camping according to the wind, etc. The initial time gave us even more gratitude as we continued and were lucky enough to have cloudless blue skies for the last 3.5 days. The desert experience is truly breathtaking in its glory of endless rolling dunes, crystal-clear starry nights, camels wandering by your side during your hike and camping, and a silence that can only be experienced to appreciate it. We were lucky enough to be able to share our meals together at lunch and dinner, which we highly recommend! Our first night we didn't know if everyone had eaten and our bus arrived late. Yet the chance to be together and enjoy the human experience of breaking bread was one of the many highlights of this trip. When my husband and I look back on this trip, we are beyond grateful for the opportunity to have Abdo, Ali and Mohamed and all the happy memories of being together throughout this period. Strongly encourage all those who wish to have an open mind to enjoy the simple joys of life with these beautiful people.

5-day caravan life in the desert - a lifetime memorable experience - We did a 6-day desert hike with DesertBrise Travel. It was the first “adventurous” trip with our children (8,10,12), and became a memorable trip of a lifetime in another culture, back to Mother Nature and the impressive and colorful desert scenes. Landscape of bare, rocky mountains, sparkling riverbeds, our path through the typical acacia trees swept away the stereotype that dessert is composed only of silky sand dunes. Each part of our five-day trekking was a refreshing miracle for my eyes, tranquilizing my soul, and walking and sleeping under the sky full of stars, freezing in the morning breeze brought me back to be present in my body and in physical reality again. We were taken care of with great tenderness: a campfire surrounded by carpets every night, a comfortable place to rest during lunch hour, delicious meals prepared by our magician "cook" in the middle of nowhere. Our guide and his team were very friendly and helpful along the way, patiently responding to the children's request to ride and descend camels. The presence of camels gave another flavor to the flavor of this fantastic experience. This caravan lifestyle for these few days really made us disconnect from the daily routine. My kids didn't want to go home and I can't wait to go back!

6 days hike with nomads - We have Mysterious 6-day hike the desert of southern Morocco, and Khalil, the friendly and very efficient manager of the agency Desertbrise Travel who perfectly organized this tour. The route he concocted made us discover sublime landscapes. Our hike was done in the accompany of Ali, our guide, and also an excellent cook and Mohamed, the friendly camel driver, both of whom were "very attentive." Also, note the warm welcome we had at the M'Hamid camp where we spent two comfortable nights after tasting the delicious Moroccan dishes and enjoying the nomadic music around the campfire. Another big thank you to Khalil and all his team for this entire organization and their great kindness!

Unforgettable Experience - A trip to the desert is a MUST — amazing evenings under the stars and mornings waking up under beautiful sunsets. Words cannot describe how unforgettable this trip was. I spent 7 days in the desert, starting off in Marrakech before travelling to M’Hamid and setting off into the Sahara with my friend. Under the guidance of two brilliant guides who were attentive, kind and fantastically funny, we trekked with ease (even under the challenging conditions of the time period we decided to go). Khalil, the manager of Desertbrise, really cares about the quality of your stay, and it’s evident from the moment you inquire. Once there, everything from the daily itinerary to the food, the conversation and the overall experience caters to you and your needs. You have to worry about absolutely NOTHING - the perfect state of mind to really enjoy the beauty of the desert. What was I surprise by most of all? Aside from the unbelievable silence and tranquility of each moment, it would have to be the food. Ahmed, one of our guides, kept us fed and watered throughout the day, each meal freshly prepared to our delight, and what excellent meals they were! If you are contemplating whether to book this or not, I would strongly recommend that you do. This was a last minute plan for me and my friend, wanting to experience something completely new and I am so glad that we did. You will make memories that will last a lifetime!

Family trek in M'Hamid Desert - We booked late, only 6 days before departure to a trek "family with children " of 5 days and 6 nights in total immersion, 3 to 5 hours of walking /day. I book the plane tickets separately. Then everything is taken care of on site. Khalil of great availability responds to all your questions and requests with accuracy and great responsiveness. The on-site team managed by Khalil's Brother Abidin is very kind. We were 12 (3 families: 6 adults and 6 children), 4 patient guides, attentive and caring and 7 camels ( camel with the saddle for child). The magic worked. We are all proud to have lived an intense moment and a very rich human experience. A redo: the children are asking for more. A big thank you to the whole team of DesertBrise Travel.

Desert trek on the nomadic lifestyle - We went for 6 days in passion in the desert. We had 4 camel drivers, and 6 camels for us 4! All the pampering. Khalil, the guide and the Manager Of 'DesertBrse Travel' is full of kindness and He shares his culture and his stories around the fire at night The nights are full of stars and the day landscapes even more unbelievable: dunes as far as the eye can see. The camel drivers cooked all the meals (tajines, bread, soup)of the trip over a wood fire, and guided us to mysterious landscapes. Everything going smoothly and in case of fatigue, there are camels ready for you. The agency was also super fast in answering all our questions. We were a little scared because It is the first time for us to be in the desert but we do not regret it was astounding. If you are looking for a tailor-made trip, authentic, and full of magic, then we highly recommend DesertBrise Travel With Khalil
