Day in Essaouira - We were in Essaouria yesterday for a day, despite the somewhat long journey it was really pleasant to talk to the driver! On the way out we stopped at a women's cooperative where they produced Argan oil, we saw the process and tasted the final product. It's impossible not to buy their products such as lip balm and body cream! The city overall is quiet compared to Marrakech, fish everywhere and an ocean view! To try!

Fantastic day out - Lovely day trip to Essaouria. Mohammed did a fabulous job, he was communicative, welcoming and a great driver. Spent the day roaming through the port and the Medina and still had time to relaxed at the beach. Memories made!

Great - We spent a great day in Essaouira with a break in a cooperative of women working with argan oil. We were accompanied by our driver Abdel Rahman who was available, courteous and helpful. I recommend this excursion thanks to Abdel Rahman. Be careful, however, about the place of departure and return which is not necessarily at the Riad/hotel as indicated in the title. We had to be contacted 24 hours in advance for the departure time, we had not received any news so we had to contact Mr Youness ourselves and that is when he told us that the departure was 20 minutes from our Riad... we particularly thank Abdel Rahman for this day and for having been kind enough to take us back to our Riad in the evening.

Great day with Salma but would have liked some guiding/ information about the places. - The ride was pleasant and Salma explained the day’s stops and schedule. I would have welcomed some background information about the places we passed through and especially about Essaouira, where we were going. Salma was very good but apparently that was not her role. Since we were interested in the history of the city we hired a local guide who was waiting for tourists disembarking from the busses. We reached an agreed upon price of 200 dirhams (about $22) two hours for two people. I now realize that the staff in the bus with the driver in Morocco is not actually a licensed tour guide, but rather a chaperone in charge of pickup, drop off, etc. I am accustomed to having some guiding. I think it would have added to the experience.

Nice guides, but unguided in Essaouira - Kind tour guides, good ride. They spoke English, Spanish, and French. I had (?mis)understood it as a guided tour through Essaouira, but we were just free to wander ourselves. I'm glad we had stops on the way there and back for bathroom and snacks as well as learn about the argan oil production and sample things. The later however, was outrageously overpriced clearly for tourists versus other collectives/markets, and the snacks were fairly overpriced, so while the tour is affordable, the day cost is larger. Beautiful old coastal town to visit!!

Negative experience - Negative experience. Waited an hour at the meeting point that they would come to . pick us up and after the last reminder, through our / hotel, arrived a bus that took us to the depot where they transferred us to another decidedly bad state (the seal of a leaning window and then a lot of cold air that entered causing me a severe cold). A journey far from pleasant. I forgot to specify the excursion was "Essaouria". Another complaint concerns the excursion: The Atlas Mountains." There was supposed to be the guide in Italian instead all languages except this one. We plan to stop using Viator in the future
