Marrakech - Boumalne Dades

Boumalne Dades - Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, heading towards the lush Dades Gorge Valley. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi’n Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters, offering breathtaking panoramic views of mountains, valleys, and vibrant Berber villages.

Head south to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the ‘Hollywood of Africa’ due to its Atlas Film Studios where numerous blockbuster films have been shot. Continue south to the Skoura palm grove, where you will explore Kasbah Amridil and Kelaat Mgouna, the town of roses, before reaching the Dades Gorges, passing through colorful Berber villages. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Villa Dades or a similar accommodation.

Boumalne Dades - Merzouga

Merzouga Desert - After breakfast, proceed a short distance to Tinghir and the distinct Toudgha Gorges, where you can take a brief walk to admire the steep sides of the gorge and the narrow sky above. From there, continue to the Chebbi dunes via Tinjdad and the Oasis of Tafilalet near Erfoud, renowned for its Date Festival. Between Tinjdad and Erfoud, stop to explore the fascinating underground water channels, which remain cool and prevent evaporation, serving as a vital irrigation source. In Erfoud, you can observe the crafting of thousands of fossils into various artifacts. Lunch will be en route. Then, embark on a two-hour drive to Merzouga, heading towards the camp across the dunes. Dinner and an overnight stay are at The Erg Chebbi Luxury Desert Camp.

Merzouga

Merzouga Desert - Rise early to witness the stunning sunrise, where the color of the dunes and the play of shadows create a magnificent sight. During your stay at the Erg Chebbi Dunes desert camp, enjoy a private tent with included breakfasts and dinners. Engage in desert activities such as camel trekking (from Merzouga to the camp), sandboarding, and more. After dinner, gather around the fire to enjoy Berber music under a starry sky, followed by a restful night at The Erg Chebbi Luxury Desert Camp.

Merzouga - Ouarzazate

Ouarzazate - After waking up and enjoying breakfast, continue the journey to the Draa Valley via the village of Tazzarine (featured in the film Babel), passing by NQob. Lunch will be somewhere along the way. In the afternoon, travel to Tansikht to drive along the ancient caravan route and discover the authentic Draa Valley with its towering palm trees and historic villages. At Agdez, at the head of the Draa Valley, visit Kasbah Tamnougalte, then cross the Anti Atlas at an altitude of about 1,700 meters. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Riad Bouchdour or a similar accommodation in Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Ait Ben Haddou - After breakfast, continue the adventure with a visit to the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a fortified ksar with stunning Kasbahs. Ait Benhaddou has served as a natural backdrop for many film producers. Cross the river to explore the ksar.

Marrakech - Depart from the main road and take a regional route passing through the village of Telouet and its kasbah, once belonging to the Lords of the Atlas, the Glaoui family, now in ruins. Later, cross the High Atlas Mountains to arrive in Marrakech by evening, where you will be bid farewell with hopes of welcoming you again in Morocco in the future.
