Purely magical! - Amazing experience from start to finish with a local pick up in a great 4x4 with a friendly driver. On arrival fabulous coffee and croissants and kept warm around fires whilst being briefed. Our pilot Jonathan was excellent making sure we all captured the best bits including the sunrise. I really enjoyed my first flight in a hot air balloon and it was fabulous to return to the camp for a scrumptious breakfast.

A must in Marrakech - We were offered a balloon flight in the medina for 1,000 dirhams. In retrospect, however, we are very glad that we listened to the advice of our Riyadh owner and booked with the industry leader instead. The company has been in business since 1990 – and you can feel it immediately: no waiting time for pickup, modern minibuses without hours of collecting all the hotels, but only our fellow passengers. The friendly driver took us safely and comfortably to the base, where everything was perfectly organized. After a smooth check-in, coffee, tea and croissants were already ready. We were then driven to the balloons, where we climbed shortly afterwards with our experienced French pilot Jeremy. The view at sunrise is simply breathtaking – an experience of a class of its own. The feeling of floating high above the earth and seeing the atlas in the morning light is absolutely intoxicating. Hundreds of photos and reels have been created – memories for eternity. What many people don't know: Since the balloon moves with the wind, you float virtually weightlessly – without air wind, jerking or unpleasant surprises. Only the occasional ignition of the burner breaks through the impressive silence. The landing was also completely problem-free, the rehearsed tilt position we could save. On the ground, a well-rehearsed team was already waiting for us to take down the balloon and transport us back to base camp. Within a few minutes everything was stowed away, and we went to the breakfast buffet, where we also received a personalized certificate with our name written in Arabic. Bonus tip: Before the flight, you can book drone footage through an independent third party – an absolute recommendation. The entire flight is professionally accompanied, including impressive close-ups of the basket that seem almost surreal. Not mass handling, but customized memories. Afterwards, we even received a revised version with matching epic music at our special request. Just awesome!

Amazing experience - must do activity - Amazing experience. On time and Alex ( our pilot) was the best. Made me feel comfortable, gave us good information. Landing was smooth and on the camp. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. I did good research between all the providers and that was the best decision . Very happy, from pick up to ride to drop off. Would recommend 100% . Amazing experience - What the experience! That was a wonderful moment I ever had with ly sister, the company was great, professional and they are always on time for pick up. We had an amazing experience, I really recommend this for other tourists. Our driver Said, was professional, the pilot and the rest of the team works wonderful. I remeber i wasn't able to get inside the the basket and the the team assisted me to get inside so it was amazing to receive such care. I also like the part of breakfast and the certificate. I always refer to it and feel like it was yesterday. Keep the good work you are doing.

Horrible Communication - The breakfast setting was really beautiful. The food itself was average at best. Tea was cold - "crepes" were not good. I heard the croissants were amazing, but they were all gone when I tried to get one. We had to wait quite a while before the ride actually started. I'd guess that it was well over an hour after we arrived that we actually got into the balloon. The pilot was great. The ride itself was nice (perhaps a little anticlimactic but that's probably just a function of my expectations.) We did have to share a compartment with another couple which was a bit awkward as one portion was much more cramped than the other (due to a diagonal partition not in the standing area but the external design). They asked us to switch with them throughout the ride and we did. The worst part was communication particularly around the video upsell. During the breakfast a man came around selling videos (of the excursion) for 300 DM (~$35). We purchased one using cash (as did others) and were told that we'd receive the video by text/email by that evening or the following morning at the latest. I'd provided the guy our phone numbers and email addresses so I thought we'd receive the video link by text or email. When the next day rolled around and I hadn't received anything, I grew concerned (we'd been given no receipt or other documentation) and messaged them on TripAdvisor. I later called TripAdvisor and Viator messaged them directly to escalate the issue. I asked my Riad to call both of the numbers that I had received previously (Mr Salah : +212 662-302515 Mr. Mounir +212 666 15 31 84) The first number - no answer, no voicemail. When she called the second number twice, the person who answered said it was a wrong number. In my last message to them, I told them I'd be posting negative reviews online if I didn't receive a response. We returned the next day and I posted negative reviews online that evening. Once the reviews were posted, they INUNDATED me with calls, emails, messages, etc. They called my phone 13 times in 15 minutes. I had to turn off my ringer and block their number. They explained that the video had in fact been sent by WhatsApp the evening of my trip. I checked WhatsApp (which I don't use) and was able to access the video finally. To be clear, the video was never emailed or sent any other way (and they didn't respond to my inquiries). The only way I would have known the video was there was to go into WhatsApp - which I would have never thought to do. They later clarified that the videographers are technically another company - Palma Vision but none of that is made clear onsite. Had we gotten the video in a timely manner or just received responses to our communications, it would have been a much better experience overall. Given the fact that TripAdvisor messaging is the only way for customers to communicate with the operator, they should place top priority on timely responses.
