Marrakech - Imlil Atlas Mountains - Toubkal Refuge
Imlil - Guests will be collected from their hotel in Marrakech at approximately 8:00 am. The driver will transport them to Imlil (1740m), a charming Berber village situated about 65 km south of Marrakech, where the trek will commence. Here, the group will meet the Berber muleteer team. An experienced mountain guide will lead a walk through the Berber villages, passing the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2500m) to reach the mountain hut. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed here. After lunch and a brief rest, the journey will continue towards the refuge (3200 m). Upon arrival, a refreshing glass of mint tea will be served. A hot shower will be available to wash away the dust and prepare for the following day. In the evening, a traditional Moroccan dinner will be served. The trek involves 6 hours of walking, including breaks.
Toubkal Refuge – Summit – Return to Imlil
Toubkal - The following day begins with an early rise to avoid the intense heat of the sun. Breakfast is served around 5:00 am, and the ascent starts at 5:30 am. Midway through the climb, there will be a short break with refreshments, including water, oranges, and nuts. After a 3-4 hour uphill walk, participants will be rewarded with stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains, valleys, and Berber villages. Upon reaching the summit, there will be a 45-minute break to take photos and admire the breathtaking scenery. The group will then return to the hut, where lunch will be ready. The descent to Imlil follows the same path, and a transfer back to Marrakech will be provided.
