Marrakech to Atlas Mountains (Overnight in Berber Village) and Camel Ride

Marrakech - Guests will be collected from their hotel or riad at 8:30 AM to commence the journey to the High Atlas Mountains.

Tahanaout - The first stop is a serene location where participants can don traditional Berber attire and enjoy a camel ride.

Asni - Following this, there will be a visit to a women’s argan oil cooperative, featuring a delightful bread and oil tasting accompanied by Moroccan tea.

Imlil - The next destination is Imlil (elevation 1,740 m), a picturesque valley that serves as the starting point for the hike. This peaceful area is characterized by a swift river, walnut trees, and traditional Berber villages. From here, a 2-hour walk begins, with a leisurely pause at a charming home, offering a stunning rooftop terrace view and a delicious Berber lunch lovingly prepared by the host’s mother.

Toubkal - Post-lunch, the trail leads to Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, providing insight into the simple daily life of the local Berber community.

Aroumd - Dinner will be served in the village, and accommodation is arranged in a modern guesthouse with breathtaking views.

Armed Village - Tasghimot Summit – Imlil - Marrakech

Imlil - After breakfast, enjoy a 3-hour walk with a knowledgeable local guide to the Tasghimot summit, offering views of three valleys.

Toubkal - A relaxed picnic lunch follows, prepared by a cook with a mule available to carry any luggage. Additional mules are provided for those wishing to ride.

After lunch, the group will reconvene at Imlil Center, where transportation will be ready. Return to Marrakech is expected around 6:00 PM.

Tours on Tuesday and Saturday also include a visit to a traditional Berber farmer’s market.
