Magical Moroccan desert tour - The “4 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Luxury Desert Adventure” is a really nice option to discover the sceneries and culture of the Moroccan Atlas and desert in a relatively short amount of time. It’s a long drive to Merzouga (9 hours each way) but the ride is comfortable and Ismail, our guide and driver, puts on some very pleasant local and traditional music. The drive from Marrakech to Merzouga is split in two days with many stops at beautiful and interesting places. Half of the third day is spent visiting interesting spots in the desert around Merzouga. The second half we rested at the camp in the middle of the beautiful dunes (it’s possible to rent ATV’s and buggies but we didn’t do it). The guest house where we stayed the first night and the camp where we stayed the two other nights were both great, situated in magical, peaceful locations. The food at both places was good, especially for dinner. Breakfasts are typically Moroccan, with relatively few choices. The rooms were clean and the beds were great (we like them firm). The private bathrooms were adequate, with a good flow of hot water. The camp tents do not have air conditioning, which was fine in April. One suggestion for improving the comfort at the camp: add screens on the tents windows to keep the flies away (the flies disturbed our afternoon nap a little…) Note that this tour is smack on the tourist trail and covers the “must see” spots in the area. Most stops are crowded with tourists and souvenir shops. This was fine with us though, and we enjoyed it. Ismail is a knowledgeable guide, born and raised in the Merzouga area, and he was happy to answer our questions about the local culture. Ismail was patient and accommodating with us. We sometimes wished that he would communicate more about what to expect at the next stop etc., but no big deal. Overall we were very happy with the tour. 4 days is a good amount of time to see the highlights between Marrakech and Merzouga. 3 days would definitely have been too rushed for us. 5 days may have allowed to venture off the tourist trail… maybe next time!

Everyday is the best day. - The four-day journey is drawing to a close soon! Thanks to our best guide Esmail and his eponymous cousin Esmail, we've got far more than expected. From a pre-trip question and answer, to all the comfortable arrangements we're happy with! The nearly two-day trip from Marrakech to Merzouka saw different geographical changes along the way and learned a lot about the local scene from Esmail. The local experience in Melzuca (not dramatic) was extremely satisfying. The most memorable part should be the exciting and surprising trip across the Sahara with seven people sitting in the back of an Esmail pickup truck laughing and screaming that wasn't part of the planned trip. 😁 really appreciates both their brothers for making our trip full of surprises and touches. If you have plans to come to Morocco and experience the Sahara, this four-day, three-night trip can be booked without hesitation!

Berber Culture Trip with Ismael - We had a great time with Ismael on the way to Merzouga and in the camp! He gave us a lot of insight into the life and history of the Berber people. Listening to Tuareg Sahara Rock on the long drives certainly helped to get a feel for the country and a sense for the landscape and people. Stops in between, food, views, all were great! We spend 2 nights in the dunes, so we had a full day of exploring the area: ATV and Jeep rides, abandonded mines, the lake, also a nomad camp (a bit too close for me). There are actually surprisingly not few tourists in the camps, but with Ismael and the camp staff and our small group of 7 we felt like a small family. It was a unique experience and I would definitely do it again! Thanks Ismael and Team! شكرا للأصدقاء

Once in a lifetime experience - We had an amazing time with Ismail! He was such a good guide and we felt really safe the whole way. It was really good to have more time in the desert and the whole trip was the perfect length. Everything was taken care of and we only had to pay for the lunches as stated. Because the trip takes you to a different location the crowd is less and we felt like there was a chance to explore and experience the desert alone. Ismail knew a lot and were really happy to share his experience and knowledge of Marokko and the Berber culture. We did ATV in the desert before sunset and it was amazing afterwards we had a jeep tour through the dunes and this was also soo amazing! I can really recommend this experience for everyone!

Well organised trip which exceeded my expectations - A well-organised trip with good communication throughout. Long days spent in the mini van driving across Morocco so I was very glad I chose the 4 day trip and had an extra day to see some sights in the Sahara and to relax. The scenery was incredible; I really enjoyed the camel ride, the food and the guided tours. Our guides and drivers were engaging and fun, and all the staff at the desert camp were super friendly and efficient. Overall the trip was organised very well, the hotel & camps were comfortable and seeing the Sahara was an unforgettable experience. This trip has exceeded my expectations - I would recommend this tour operator, and doing 4 days instead of 3 to appreciate the incredible landscape.

A magical experience with service beyond all expectations - A fantastic experience thanks to excellent service accurate from start to finish. Esmail and 'was attentive to our every need making us spend magical moments: camel rides at sunset and dawn in the dunes, adrenaline rides in 4x4 jeeps, barbecue in the desert (with exquisite food), tea' in a Berber tent. Everything was perfect. Esmail and his colleague Esmail (a very common name in the area) exceeded our expectations: caring to make my wife (who has walking problems) well and to amuse my 9-year-old daughter. If you want to spend magical and authentic days in contact with wonderful people and do not hesitate to entrust yourself to this tour! Thank you Esmail for your constant help and professionalism. See you soon! Marcello, Marina, Annie

Amazing Sahara Experience - My wife and I did the 4-day Luxury Desert Adventure from Marrakech in March 2026. It was a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived in Merzouga and met Esmail. He and his team were welcoming, hospitable, friendly, helpful, and attentive. They kept us well-fed, shared their drumming skills around a campfire, and were always responsive when we had a question or needed something. We loved getting to know Esmail and spending the day with him when he gave us a local tour on our 3rd day. That included 4-wheeling in the dunes, then visiting a private collection of really cool 4WD vehicles, a house of traditional African music, a former French mineral mining operation, and having tea with a nomadic family. We rode camels from Merzouga across the dunes and into camp at sunset on day 1, and back to Merzouga at sunrise on day 4. While touristy, it was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done and a highlight of our trip. We also rode ATVs and tried sandboarding. We had our own luxury tent, which was spacious and comfortable and had a private bathroom. Everything was great. We would highly recommend this experience! Something to know in advance: the transportation companies that got us to Merzouga and back serve multiple camps. The people you share a van with from Marrakech and bond with along the way may not be headed for the same camp as you, and you may be distributed to different guest houses on the first night. Not a big deal, but the driver didn’t explain anything to us so we were all puzzled about it till we got to Merzouga and understood the reason.
