Marrakech - Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou-Dades

Tizi n Tichka - The journey will take us through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n Tichka pass, which stands at 2160 meters high, offering a vibrant panoramic view of the valleys below. There will be several stops to appreciate the landscapes and enjoy coffee or fresh orange juice.

Ait Ben Haddou - Upon arrival at the Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, a local guide will lead a walk to explore one of Morocco’s oldest kasbahs (clay-made castles) and a backdrop for over 20 successful films. Ait Ben Haddou was a significant fortress on the gold, ivory, and salt trade route along the caravan path crossing the vast African Sahara to Marrakech and beyond Morocco’s borders.

Dades Gorges - After lunch, the tour continues through Ouarzazate and the Valley of the Roses, renowned for its Persian rose products. The drive will pass through numerous Berber villages to reach the Dadès canyons for an overnight stay.

Tinghir - Todra Gorge - Merzouga

Tinghir - Following breakfast, the drive heads to Tinghir, one of the most picturesque towns in southeastern Morocco, known for its silver mining industry and traditional handmade silver jewelry. A short drive leads to the impressive Todra Canyon, which rises over 200 meters at its narrowest point, where lunch will be served.

Erg Chebbi - Post-lunch, the journey continues to the rolling sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. The stunning desert landscape unfolds until the dunes appear on the horizon, leading to the auberge where a camel guide will escort the group into the bivouac/camp by sunset. Upon arrival, a warm welcome with nomadic tea, made from various desert herbs, awaits. Dinner will feature a traditional tagine followed by nomadic entertainment, with the opportunity to admire the clear, starry sky free from light pollution. Overnight stay in a nomad tent.

Merzouga - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Merzouga - The day begins with the awe-inspiring sight of the sunrise, followed by a camel ride back to the auberge for breakfast. After packing, the drive back to Marrakech includes a stop in Ouarzazate for lunch and a visit to the historic Glaoui Kasbah Taouirt. The journey then crosses the High Atlas once more, with an expected arrival in Marrakech around 19:00.
