Food tour - We got a private tour of Lhoussaine in the heart of Marrakech. He only knew last minute that our daughter was gluten intolerant (did not get the message via the app) but took this into account. We went to eat at stalls where we would otherwise never stop and had a nice meal. Along the way we also got info about Marrakech. Definitely recommended.

Amazing Experience - Ismail was an excellent guide. Humorous, informative and friendly, he spent time talking to each person individually. He took us to places tourists seldom go to experience authentic Moroccan street food. The exotic dishes we sampled were delicious and everyone on the tour ate till they were very full. I highly recommend this tour.

Unforgettable Evening Street Food Tour in Marrakech - We met our guide, Smail, for an evening street food tour in the heart of the souks. The meeting point was easy to find, and from the start, Samil was professional, welcoming, and full of energy. He guided us through the bustling souks, taking us to hidden local food stalls that tourists would rarely find on their own. We sampled a variety of authentic Moroccan street food, including: • The “magical plate” – a hearty mix of rice, eggs, potato, and cheese. • Tajine Kefta – lamb meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, topped with eggs. • Chfenj – a traditional Moroccan doughnut served with sugar and honey, alongside fresh mint tea. • Panaché smoothie – a deliciously refreshing orange-based drink. • A variety of Moroccan pastries, which we took back to the hotel to enjoy later. We also had the chance to see more adventurous options like sheep’s brain, lungs, and head being prepared – while we chose not to try them, it was fascinating to see this side of local cuisine. We also skipped the snail soup, but appreciated the insight into these traditional delicacies. To end the tour, we tried a unique eucalyptus drink—a warm and aromatic finish to an unforgettable evening. The atmosphere of the evening tour was electric. The souks were alive with people, lights, sounds, and scents, making the experience feel truly immersive. Smail’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and professionalism made the tour extra special. Highly recommended for food lovers or anyone wanting to explore the real flavors of Marrakech!

Authentic food tour of Marrakesh - Kamal & Lhoussaine were wonderful hosts — warm, welcoming, and full of insights about Marrakech and its food culture. As a foodie, I was particularly excited trying unique dishes beyond the usual tagine and couscous. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that is looking for a local, off-the-beaten-path taste of Marrakech!

Great food tour! - Ismiel did a great job showing us around the local stops. Some places did not have names on them. We definitely tried foods we would never tried without a little support from Ismiel and our fellow tourists. The communication was fantastic. We would recommend the tour!

Great foodie experience - Good visit around the souk in a small group - would have got lost if we’d tried it ourselves. The food was great and our 19 yr old twins enjoyed the experience too. Would recommend. Lots of food to get through so make sure you’re hungry!

Wholly disinterested guide. Ok food at best. - Honestly our guide wasn’t awful. He showed up on time and we were the only two booked despite booking a group tour (this is low season so I suspect this may happen not infrequently). He was nice enough but was clearly disinterested. Speedwalking from point to point. Virtually no discussion or absolute minimal description of what we were eating. At the first stop we had some sort of ‘Moroccan pancake’ with what seemed like peanut butter inside. I asked what the ‘pancake’ was made of and he looked at me like I was an idiot and replied ‘wheat’. Absolute end of discussion. I didn’t press further. No explanation at the following stops either. He did warm up a bit after an hour or two. Also he was generous in asking if we would like more serving at I think every stop. We did get him to chat about non food related topics and he was I think a nice person. Just seemed completely dead inside and seemed to hate being a guide. By the time he finally warmed up, we were done. After two and a half hours. I think it’s booked for 3-4 hours but between speed walking and minimal discussion l, that’s where we landed. Not a *horrible * experience by any means. But also was extraordinarily low effort. We had one really nice dish. Something like a modified sharshuka. But I couldn’t tell you anything more about it. The rest I don’t even really recall, they were so mediocre. And again, no discussion of what we had.
