• Marrakech - The medina of Marrakech is the historic center of the city, forming one of the five districts within the urban municipality of Marrakech.
• Bahia Palace - The Bahia Palace, a former 19th-century palace spanning eight hectares, showcases Moorish and Islamic architectural styles in Marrakech, Morocco. • Koutoubia - The initial mosque was constructed in 1148 by Sultan Almohade Abdelmoumen after his conquest of Marrakech. He later rebuilt a second version of similar size around 1158, which is the current structure, as the first was demolished. Abu Yusuf Ben Tachafin completed the minaret around 1195. The Koutoubia is a notable example of Almohad architecture and Moroccan mosque design. The 77-meter minaret, adorned with geometric patterns and topped with a spire and metal orbs, likely inspired other structures like the Giralda in Seville and the Hassan Tower in Rabat. It serves as an urban landmark and a significant symbol of Marrakech.
• Jemaa el-Fnaa - Known for its vibrant public square in the southwest of the Medina, Jemaa el-Fnaa in Marrakech, Morocco, is a lively hub, especially at night, drawing over a million visitors annually. It reflects the diversity of Moroccan identity, with representatives from various cultures such as Arabs, Berbers, and Gnaouas. “The cultural space of the Jemaa el-Fna square” has been recognized as intangible cultural heritage since 2008 (proclaimed in 2001) and as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1985.
