- Ben Youssef Madrasa - The Ben Youssef Madrasa, a historic Islamic college in Marrakech, Morocco, is named after the nearby Ben Youssef Mosque. Commissioned by Saadian sultan Abdallah al-Ghalib in 1564–65 CE, it was once the largest Islamic college in the Maghreb and is celebrated as a pinnacle of Saadian and Moroccan architecture. The madrasa was a center for learning, where students studied Maliki Islamic law, jurisprudence, and various interpretations of the Qur’an. Built by the Saadian dynasty, known for their sharifian lineage (descendants of Muhammad), the madrasa followed a style from the earlier Marinid period. It housed over 800 students and operated until 1960, then was refurbished and reopened to the public as a historical site in 1982. After closing for restoration in November 2018, it reopened in April 2021. The madrasa is renowned for its use of cedar wood, brick, and tile, creating a stunning display of Islamic art.

An interesting tour of Marrakesh. - Very interesting and informative, our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of insight into local culture, customs and the different languages spoken in the country as a whole. We found the tour of the Bahia Palace fascinating and well worth the visit.
The tour of the seuks and spices stalls was enjoyable.

Very informative and colourful tour of the Kasbah - We booked for our first morning in Marrakech- wanted to get oriented and figure out what to spend more time on. Our guide, Hafid, spoke good English and was able to impart a lot of knowledge about the culture, the country, and the specific points of interest around the old city. He didn't try to bring us to various vendors to get us to buy, although a number of them obviously knew him. The market, madrassa and the palace made a great starting point for our visit.

Visit the city with different eyes - The Khalid Guide was very helpful and prepared, spoke good Italian and told us much more about the attractions we saw. Visiting Marrakech with a Guide allowed me to appreciate the city much more.

Old city tour - Our guide was awesome! So kind and knowledgeable. Showed us several great historical sites and even took a quick lunch break with us in a little special place. Would have never been able to find our way as a first timer. Much appreciated!

A true guided tour rich of interesting details! - Ayoub was an amazing guide for our tour through the Médina. He showed up right on time and gave us some great insights into the history of Marrakech. We explored the University, stumbled upon some beautiful hidden gardens, and wandered through the lively Souk. Such a great experience!

While the guide’s... - While the guide’s knowledge was evident, a more structured itinerary with pre-planned alternatives would have made the experience smoother and more enjoyable, especially for first-time visitors to Marrakesh.
The tour concluded after 2.5h had passed, while the guide suggested that the tour will last 3 to 3.5h.

Medina tour - Tour guide picked us up at our hotel via cab. We then spent many hours walking around the Medina. We were a bit taken a back when our tour guide brought us into the palace and our admission wasn't included in the tour price. Our tour guide wanted us to go into then Islamic school but we didn't want to pay to enter so we skipped it. Be ware that tour guide will take you to an argon pharmacy and a few other places to buy things, I believe they must get a portion of the commission so don't feel obliged to purchase as most stuff could
Prob be purchased cheaper elsewhere. We were led to a lunch place at the end of our tour and the food was horrible.
