Our Private Souks Tour of Marrakech - We had a fantastic private Souks tour. Rachid personalised our tour to our likes. He gave us an inside view of the Marrakech culture and religion. Told us where to eat and where not to. He was very easy to communicate with and would highly recommend him to everyone. Thank you Rachid.

Highly recommend Rachid! - Rachid was an excellent guide. He asked us what items we were interested in and explained the craftsmanship and care that goes into them so we could further appreciate what we were buying. We asked for home and leather good spots and were very happy with the selection. Rachid also took us to a pharmacy that had the most fragrant rose and orange blossom argan oils too. They made great gifts for friends back home. He also coached us through the bargaining process. We were not use to it, but there is a respectful way to negotiate and he helped us learn the process. It was a handy skill bc we had to bargain multiple times through out the trip! The Medina can be a zoo, even for those who are use to traveling and experiencing other cultures. Having Rachid to help us learn how to move through it made our experience so much better. I had a hiccup with one of my items when I got back home. I contacted Rachid and he arranged for a replacement to be shipped to my home. It was so seamless and he was very professional. I highly recommend him.

Wonderful exploration of a fantastic city - We had such a wonderful morning exploring the special sights in Marrakech. We could not have asked for a more informative and helpful guide, nothing was too much trouble and he was happy to accomodate our special interest in architecture, and my husbands many and varied questions. Could not recommend more!

Top notch service! Absolutely amazing shopping tour with Hassan! - Hassan was incredible! He asked where we wanted to shop and took us the best shops for spices, jewelry, leather goods and antiques. He helped to negotiate and ensured we obtained the best prices. Hassan was so personable and has a wonderful relationship with the top shop owners. My adult son and I enjoyed chatting with him and learning so much about the beautiful city. I 100% strongly recommend Hassan for a private shopping tour. He’s the best I’ve ever experienced! Enchanting Shopping Tour - Shopping Tour Review Great Marrakech Shopping Tour with Hassan We met our tour guide, Hassan, outside the Ali Hotel in the Medina. He was very punctual, polite, and made us feel welcome right away. The tour lasted a few hours and took us deep into the heart of the souks. Hassan guided us through the bustling markets with ease, showing us everything from natural remedies and traditional Moroccan spices to the fascinating process of how leather goods are made. He also pointed out some great local restaurants and gave us personal recommendations on where to eat during our stay. Hassan was a lovely and knowledgeable guide who clearly knows the area very well. We really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this shopping tour to anyone visiting Marrakech—it’s a great way to discover the city and learn about its rich culture.

Incredible tour- Bringing home memories & joy! - Hassan is absolutely marvelous! He is an expert Tour Guide and his professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge of Marrakech and the Medina were apparent throughout the afternoon. Clearly he has built wonderful relationships with merchants over the years and that transfers over to the shopping experience I had . Hassan listened carefully to what I wanted to experience and purchase. I never felt pressured and I am returning home with special items that will remind me for years to come of my time in Marrakesh. Hassan is a pro ! And when you are seeing Marrakech through his eyes, you know you are receiving special treatment and are being enlightened to an incredible part of the world.

Excellent tour with Hassan - I only wish I could give 10 stars! I arrived as Hussan’s customer and left feeling like family. I was thrilled with my private souk tour. Hassan took me to the highest quality businesses. I am thrilled with my items purchased at Maison du Caftan. I gave one caftan as a gift which was very well received. I have to say that my biggest delight came from my rug purchase at Les Nomads de Marrakech. I felt like a princess while numerous rugs were shown to me. I am so excited about my one of a kind handmade rug that is truly a work of art. The price included insured shipping through DHL. But most of all, I want to comment about how safe I felt with Hussan. My safety was his utmost concern. He always had me walk to his right and put up his arm to protect me if anything came too close. As a solo female traveler, this was a stand out for me that proved he is a true gentleman. I highly recommend this tour to anyone. I know that you will be just as pleased as me.

So disappointed and disgusted. - Apols in advance for the long review. Hassan is a very competent and knowledgeable guide. He takes great pride in his tour company and wants everything to reflect well. I wish my review could end here. However, what occurred at our last destination left a very bad feeling. Hassan clearly has preferred traders that he takes his travellers to. We were looking for a leather bag. We passed a very enthusiastic street trader but Hassan did not engage and was dismissive about his approach so we were taken to _leather_home. Now, it would appear, a clear strategy. I saw a coat I liked but they didn’t have my size. I could have had my size shipped but chose not to as it would have made the cost more than I wanted to spend. I was shown another coat which was even nicer than the original I liked. It was 3 sizes too big for me. The apparently friendly shop attendant went to look for my size. Upon return, he confirmed they were wrapping my coat as flat as possible for travel home. I went to where they were wrapping it to say I wanted to try it on first. The same assistant helped me into the cost. He had to turn up the sleeves and adjust the front saying it was a perfect fit. It felt big. So I looked in the mirror, it was hanging off me. So I checked. It was the original coat, 3 sizes too big, that they tried to pass off on me. I was horrified at what they tried to do and expressed that. What followed was a litany of lies while they tried to convince me it was one persons mistake. However, they contradicted themselves so it was very clear to me, they tried to scam me. Hassan was very apologetic, disgusted at the staff and was very emphatic he does not engage in these practices. I would have believed him but for one inconsistency. He had advised that he brought his travellers there daily. I asked the name of the shop assistant that had attended to me for about half hour (searching sizes and colours) to distinguish from the chap wrapping my coat, whilst conversing about the incident. Hassan said he didn’t know his name. This was blatantly untrue. Hassan visited the shop daily and he was not new staff as he is featured on their Instagram page. In any case, they conversed like familiar colleagues and always in their own language, before the shop assistant would give us the price of an item. It seemed clear to me that Hassan was giving him guidance. None of which I had issue with. However, I do have issue with such dishonest trading. I would have been stuck with an expensive coat that I couldn’t have worn. I left the store. By way of apology, Hassan offered to pay for the shipping of the correct size but I didn’t trust I would even receive the correct item, if any. They had lost all credibility. He then offered to send the coat and I would pay on receipt if satisfied. A generous offer but I didn’t think scam artists should be rewarded. Hassan later withdrew that offer in any case. In full disclosure, he did arrange a complimentary transfer to the airport with my friend. Is commission paid by these preferred retailers to Hassan? I don’t know but I have my own view. Was he complicit in the scam? I don’t know. Is he aware of the, at best dishonest and at worst corrupt practises of _leather_home? I don’t know but again, I have my own view.
